I actually think the Orcs are in a weak spot right now.
Remember, less than two decades ago, they were little more than a rag-tag band of ship survivors who landed on Kalimdor after almost being destroyed by Murlocs. Only to be thrown into a viceous, territorial and genocidal war with quilboars, harpiers and centaurs. And also border skirmishes with the Night Elves, which turned into a full-scale war which they fought against Azeroth’s best forest fighters - in their own forest.
And they did all this while also being the main supplier of bodies to the Horde’s wars against the Alliance, Scourge, Twilight Cult, Legion, Illidari etc. And the bloody civil war with Garrosh.
To be fair, given the consecutive wars and nonstop-crisis, the Orcs should be scraping at the bottom of the barrel for more soldiers as they have depleted at least 2 generations of Orcs in an already devastated specie. Middle-aged Orcs who aren’t crippled by war are very likely a rarity by now.
“The Outpost there have yet to be reinforced with our main force and we are suddenly outnumbered. Nathanos wants you to meet him in Darkshore and find out what is happening.”
– The Intro quest on the Horde side going into Darkshore.
“The Night Elf ambushes have left us undermanned. We need reinforcements if we are to hold Darkshore”
– The first quest Nathanos gives you when you get to Darkshore.
Have you actually done any of the quests? Have you bothered to even read them in case you are wrong?
Since we are talking about the armies, orcs should be above goblin since I have fought many Horde armies in this expansion but have barely met any goblin aside from the few miners that I gleefully slaughtered in Silithus.
You overestimate the strength of the Forsaken army. They suffered heavy casualties in Lordaeron and are scrambling to maintain their holdings in the region or fighting the so-called Army of the Black Moon on Kalimdor. Also the Forsaken are inherently weak creatures who risk losing limbs just by doing small actions that require some effort. They are actually pretty pathetic. Didn’t they get pushed out of Gilneas by a band of civilian volunteers in Cataclysm?
Ultimately, the entire Horde army is doing very badly, since they are losing the war on all fronts as aknowledged by Blightcaller himself.
Not to mention the military success of Sylvanas from the past left a big middle finger in the faces of the Alliance as a faction in terms of shifting power in Cataclysm. I doubt there is no common people in the Alliance who aren’t fearing her and her Forsaken.
Keep telling yourself that if it helps you sleep at night.
