Hoping to finish off the Crusaders under Grandmaster Aegoth, the Raiders rode up into the ruins of Alterac. It seemed the Alliance force were expecting them and had constructed traps overnight. A pit of spikes meant they had to head inside on foot. Regardless, the invasion began swiftly and erupted into bloody violence. Making their way towards the Keep, the Raiders captured buildings, to support their advance. However, the sturdy defence of the main Keep kept the Horde occupied, slowly draining their energy as they constantly battled to break through into the fortified stone fortress. With their Gronnling wounded from yesterdayâs battle, the Raiders relied on the dark magic of Tenjo as their siege weapon - as well as their own ruthlessness. This wasnât enough to get through and the Crusaders managed to fend them off. As they pushed the Raiders out, they managed to recapture the stolen points and even kill one of the Raider bandâs Orcs. The Crusaders had won this battle, successfully stopping the invasion and surviving the ordeal. Meanwhile, the wounded Horde fell back and made a new base close to the ruins, in a cave system. Here, a funeral was held for their fallen comrade.
Yet again amazing RP with Gallant. Best Iâve been part of in a long time. Thanks slimes
Eadward ran the whetstone down the length of his blade by the warmth of the brazier, the figure cloaked and hooded atop a small mound of snow. The winter night was cold and dark, chilling the breath that left the manâs body as the fire crackled in front of him, reaching the end of its tenure. The fighting had been rough, and taken its toll upon his body, he ached from the previous three days of battle. Legend had penned the Orcs as having fought with ferocity, a legend well established with blood and bone since their arrival upon this world. Eadward glanced around the ruined keep of Alterac, his homeland, once bustling with life now reduced to a shadow of its former glory. Perhaps one day these halls would see the life they once knew, not with men of death and glory, but of traders, farmers, women and children. It was a sight Eadward longed to see, and heâd be damned if any Orc would take that from him.
And so the saga of battles that would soon become to be known as âHell in the Highlandsâ came to an end. The beginning of the end came about exactly how it started, the meddling of a Stranger. This very same manipulator told the Raiders of a passage they had left unblocked and unguarded - and that on this day the men under Grand Master Aegoth were holding a feast for settlers in the Northern lands. They had flocked here, thinking it to be a safe haven after their recent victorious defense. The Raiders rode their wolves across an isolated shelf, around the back of the Crusaderâs keep - where they discovered and used this passage. From here, they climbed with rope, up the back of the Keep and formed up on the roof. These settlers turned pale white with shock, as the Raider unit flooded down into the Keep - quickly killing plenty of them before engaging with the gallant Crusaders on the floor below. The feast became a bloodbath. The battle was long and tiring and more settlers died in the crossfire to Orcish blades - as they were sealed inside by the Raidersâ rogue. The mettle of Aegothâs order and goal to defend the surviving settlers mustered their strength and they began to push the Horde back up the stairs. Meanwhile, thunderous tremors began to shake the ground, but the sound of clashing steel drowned it out. It wasnât until the Raiders fell back up onto the roof, did they discover the source of the sounds. The sky around them wasnât the same as when they entered, it had turned a dark purple colour - and swirling clouds drifted above, looming over a collection of mist beyond the Keepâs gates. The two forces bickered, blaming each other for this strange magic. However, the true source revealed itself from the mist - splitting up the fighting with an alien screech. Understanding the magnitude of the situation they found themselves in, the two forces headed outside, forcefully united to combat the otherworldly creature. The manipulator who orchestrated both the Raiders and Crusaders fighting each other had summoned this being, to destroy them all in one, boxed-in place. Despite some of the Raiders taking advantage of this moment to seek revenge for their fallen brother, heading into the barracks to try and murder the wounded Crusaders while the rest were distracted - the combined might of Horde and Alliance was just enough to fell the monster. Before they could turn and continue killing each other now that it had died, the body of the monster exploded into a crackling blast of Void energy. The Raiders were swept up into a whirling, purple tornado - zapping them across the sky. They found themselves left lying upon charred grass, not far from the hill-top fortress. From the distance, they saw the dark storm fade and the sky return to normal. They had assumed that Aegothâs men and women had been mostly killed off from the blast, but unknowingly wrong about this, they headed back to Hammerfall. They had suffered many injuries today - and plenty over the previous days of fighting. No time was given to them to reapply themselves in the Highlands and prepare to continue their service here, before their Stone Guard came to them with new orders. However⌠their grudge with the gallant Crusaders would not be forgotten, if any of them had survived.
Thanks to everyone who was a part of this storyline. The RHR vs Gallant will defo continue in the future. It has been some of the best RP and RP-PVP I have done in a while. JOIN GALLANT

Alterac was silent, the maddening whispers of the monstrosity brought forth by the wicked cultists no longer threatened the Crusaders; nor the Raiders which it teleported away. All that remained was the Keep and the aftermath of their clash with the RaidersâŚ
Our final RP-PvP event in the âHell in the Highlandsâ Campaign with the Razor Hill Raiders was a blast. Had a lot fun doing it. Thanks RHR!
As the shadow of night took Alterac into its embrace, the Crusaders turned to their injured and their dead - the Raiders had killed scores of unarmed settlers and travelling merchants, the blood of the innocent now forming grim splatters across the walls and floor of the broken holdfast. It took the greater part of the remaining night and morning to clear out the dead and the rubble, and soon pyres to burn both were established upon the flanking ground near the causeway. Few words were spoken, as most turned to silent prayer. A harrowing blizzard forced the attending survivors back into their sanctuary soon after.
Big S/O to the Razor Hill Raiders gang for four very epic and fun fighting days, itâs been an incredible kick-off for us Gallant boys, IC and OOC both
After a very long hiatus stretching from December 19th - January 2nd, the Gallant boys and gals are eager to continue our very Epic roleplay. Hope you all had amazing Holidays and a fantastic New Years Eve!
We launch a Guild-only DMâd Campaign starting Jan 5th, which will make us move to the Eastern Plaguelands!
The campaign is fantastic so far! This stage has us venture to Stormwind to seek out a Void Elf to help divine a Void-tainted artefact. Weâll be in the city this evening and for the next few days, if you want to make contact and get involved with this awesome guild.
They said their prayers and left at dawn, ready to destroy the maddening evil which lurked in the North. Chasing an artefact long forgotten, all they stumbled upon were traces of its void corruption. Bruised, battered and with a questionable sanity, they emerged filled with hope - riding towards the seemingly imprevious City of Stormwind.
Hey gamers Weâre coming to Stormwind today! Weâre hoping to recruit the suitable people for the cause as well as add some flavour to the Stormwind Life (in some form of way). See you all there!
