I suppose it was about time I posted here as well.
I’m not a very talented artist. I can’t sketch, for instance. I don’t have (generally) a very good eye for coloring. I never learned either of those things, and nobody ever taught me. I also get very easily frustrated with specific paint programs, because they have so many tools for me to use that I get easily overwhelmed.
However, what I lack in pure talent, I make up with raw willpower and determination.
I draw all of my artwork with the standard Microsoft paint, using a mouse. To do this, I use the wave tool. I imagine the shape I want and then draw the lines on the paper, after which I do basically trial and error, until I am satisfied.
The reason for this is relatively simple: When I was young, I didn’t have a lot of gold (and I was very skeptic about using IRL money for character art), so I went with the last option I had:
Do it myself.

I guess what I want to say is that you don’t need to be an artist to do any of this- And while I am still far, far away from many real masterful artists on this server, I make do and nobody’s able to get quite the same results I can get- Which makes me quite proud.
Also, the great thing about doing stuff yourself is that you get to determine what goes on to the paper- Directly.
