I can personally confirm that this is possible. And yes this is the first time I’m gonna say this, but I actually received 3 Ashes of Al’ar in maybe 50 runs, so if there’s a lottery going on in TK for me, i’d fookin win it every time.
And no it wasn’t my intention to get it that many times, I was farming T5 on multiple characters. I can attach screenshots and Puny can convert them into pictures when I come home from work (imgur banned in banking enviroments 
)
First time I got it at lvl 85 with my boomkin main when I was solo farming, and let me tell you it was a real feat to get him down with FL gear. It was omegahard seriously.
2nd time was on my warrior farming something, and 3rd on my DK (i was farming the sword there i think).

Yes it can drop multiple times for same person.
