I explain you why it is 8 days… it is 8 days because that system is in place since vanilla classic. 8 days as punishment for taking someones spot and making people gain less honor /halving them in a 100yard range or whatever the range was eventho you do nothing but leech.
People who afked / leeched were a plague, even more so back then because they denied honor people needed for ranking up. They denied people from joining the bg and they made you lose a bg most of the time unless it was on both sides. You gain a rank every reset aka 7 days. If you get a 8 day ban you literally lose 2 weeks of progress instead of just 1, making you think twice doing it again.

we cannot deny anyone from doing anything, there are 15 BG at the same time
i believe this should not be bannable because you have ingame Vote to kick and Deserter system,
even if it is, shouldn’t be 8 days
am not defending ruining the gameplay don’t get me wrong, but it doesn’t make sense to ban someone for low participation in 2 days when i spent over 20 days suffering losses, all hordes should be banned for idiocy then and denying wins … so either you join the Sheep mentality spending 50mins on a lost BG or get banned !! doesn’t make sense

both criteria are irrelevant ! just let the kick+deserter system do it
imagine you get ban because you didn’t reach an amount of damage done or some kids spammed your name for report
mate i got reported standing in a base defending it, when someone spam your name ‘REPORT HIM FOR AFK’ and ppl just do it, its a mess am telling you
if you dont join the ‘" Jump in and press buttons"’ and play defense which is the objective, ppl incite against you, its a mess

So your claim of having done thing wrong is false by your own admission. Also I caught you on several occasion where you deliberatly tried to twist the reality so you wouldnt look so bad. Just take the penalty (which as someone already explained is 8 days so it has a significant impact on ranking - a relict from classic vanila) and dont actively afk again. If the 8 days are too long for you then ure probably better of just taking your hat and leaving the game?

I actively report people afk when I do warsong and see them afk at the GY for longer than 30seconds upon ressing. Only because it’s 0:2 does not mean it’s lost. Often times people leave, we get someone with motivation and turn it to a 3:2 in the end.
It’s a bitter taste people have from leechers during ranking in vanilla classic. The first people do when you are doing nothing for a period of time is reporting you.

I have to agree you didn’t AFK, BUT not doing anything to play actively when you are at the keyboard is against the fair play rules too, whether you are going to win or not.
By your own admission you stopped playing, which is 100% leeching.

to be honest, im the same. if i see we get completly destroyed in the zerg and arent even able to hold more than 1 base in AB, i would also suggest our team to let them win quickly since its gonna be a loss anyway. But if they still want to try hard and try to win (in that case i had it happen very few times they actually changed the bg) i just jouned their useless zerg outside of any objective to get atleast some hks.
In my opinion you should not be able to get banned temporarly just for low participation cause you dont wanna join a useless out of objective zerg. you could stay at a point to prepare to inc a base and you jsut wait for ppl cause alone it doesnt make sense. But noone is coming with you so you just wait there.
And if Blizzard bans a player cause of that, its basically on a level where they would start banning ppl for like, not playing the bg correctly to win.
Imagine a e-mail. you got suspended for 8 days cause you just zerged between gm and bs xD

If you have 10% win rate the problem is yours, because probabilistically each side is equally good / bad without you, so the only factor is YOU.

if we were repoting people for trolling in bgs and not going for objectives we would lose 90% of the alliance that does bgs, not to talk about the effects of banning them for 8 days.

but my point was, that the guy complaining here didnt do that! Since Im doing it too, probably on a much larger scale and I never get banned. I was pointing out that he tries to make us believe he’s only afk whenever its clearly lost - but thats just not true and he got banned for just blatantly avoiding deserter in lost games, won games and also games that arent even clearly decided yet - a leech through and through.
