You do not have to complete the quest Battle of Dazar’alor to get the next part of the chain. You can find the next quest offered by Nathanos on The Banshee’s Wail at the port.
The King’s Death
2.The Return of Derek Proudmoore
After completing this mini quest chain you will then open up the 8.1.5 quest chain which can vary depending on if you sided with Saurfang or Sylvanas.
Sylvanas Loyalists will pick up: Righting Wrongs
Saurfang Loyalists will pick up: Righting Wrongs
I appreciate that. But still there’s no need to hold yourself back from the rest of the game, just because of a few old quests. If your complaint is you get kicked from the raids because your DPS isn’t high enough, because most people do the raids to farm transmog, then you’ll find it a lot easier to get the quests done if/when you’re max level.
I didn’t play during Legion. But something I have really enjoyed over the past 4 years, is going back and completing the quest lines, doing the achievements and collecting the transmog. But I’ve been doing it on the side of enjoying the current expansion.
What will happen when you finish BFA, you’ll go onto shadowlands and spend the next 5 years trying to complete that and coming into the same problems.
If you did the quest where you go with a Dark ranger to track Saurfang after he “escaped” from SW you investigate Redridge mountains. Shortly after that you find him in, I think Swamp of Sorrows, the ranger then gives you two options, go back to Sylvanas or stay. If you go tell sylvanas you have chosen to support her if you choose to stay Zekhan (or whatever he was called) will show up with a quest to help Saurfang in the ambush.
I think the problem I have is that in Classic with Questie I could see all quests on the map but in retail I haven’t been able to find a addon that just marks any and all available quests on the map and because of my poor memory I’m worried that if I don’t wrap up a quest now then I’ll abandon it cause, well, I need space in my quest log, and then I’ll forget where that quest marker is. Main quests ‘should’ be visibile on the map but not all of them have been. That’s the main reason I feel the need to wrap things up before I move on. But hey if you know of an addon that does what Questie does with marking all quest ! on the map then I’d probably just move on and do them later.
Nah we were close to the entrance to SOW and then the quest concluded. :S
I’m going to fly over there now.
Maybe she phased out due to a bug or something. But we never entered SOW. Last thing we did was kill a dude with a bunch of dogs.
I don’t know of an add-on. But there is an option to turn on Low Level quests Givers.
In the new UI, on the Top Right, above the mini-map, just left of the name of the location you are at, there is a Tiny tiny tiny pair of binoculars (they’re really tiny). Click on that. A menu will come up and 2nd from the Botton is an option that says “Trivial Quests”. That will show up all low level quests.
Questie is sorta build into the game now, you need to enable Trivial quests tracking. However you will not be able to see quests that have requirements in order to unlock them, like the war campaign endings. You need to quests leading up to that point and then it should pop up on your map.
Do you think a level 70 would be able to Solo it without too much hassle? I hate PvE, but if it helps and is not too annoying for me, I could try to help with the instance once I am max level.
