That was a serious question. It cant be a year, because 23k Euros is under minimum wage in many Central European Countries.
Sorry, I didn’t think you were being serious at the suggestion of customer support agents being paid £250,000 per year. I work in customer service… I bloody wish!
I just read it off of what employees posted on glassdoor. And the figure sounds about right for a baseline professional customer support staff. I don’t know about minimum wage but those numbers could be a few years old, I have no idea.
If I had to guess independently of any actual figures, I would expect a basic “GM” job would be about £21-22k (25k euros?).
I’ve just looked at minimum wage in Ireland, it’s 9.8 Eur/hour. Based on a 35 hour week that would be an annual minimum wage of 18,000 Eur per year.
Cries in eastern european where 3-4 k euros per year is minimum wage

Average Minimum wage in Austria/Germany is about EUR 9/hour. Including mandatory holidaybonuses that amounts to 21k Euro a Year. And thats for the guys who shake the Fries at McDonalds, not the ones working a Job you need an actual education for.
The moment you have a degree your minimum wage goes up to about 12 EUR/h, thats about 28k a year for an absolute beginner. Since my guess would be that a CM should have some kind of education and at least a little experience I expect their salary to be somewhere between 32 to 35k/year before Taxes.
Trust me, I know that (I am a HR-representative for a large Autoparts-Company with factories in Bosnia-Herzegowina). How you guys manage your day to day-lives really is beyond me.

They are real world mages - they conjure water and food, and then use fire spec to make fire; and then arcane spec to make electricity.
I won’t pretend like I know anything about German wages, but we are talking about Blizzard’s Irish office, which is not in Germany last time I checked.
Your estimates are way off. A CM (Community Manager) may well be on more money as I’d assume its a more senior role, but a regular “GM” i.e. customer support rep, will be on a basic low 20s salary. Like I said that is according to people who have worked in the position itself.
I cannot possibly imagine you would need a degree to work in Blizzard’s customer service centre.

I´m pretty sure Ireland has a higher Average Income than even Central Europe. Thats why even Central Europeansmigrate to Ireland for CM-Jobs.
Based on a quick Internet search the Average Income is about EUR 39.000 a year
