Beginner looking for raiding guild

You named yourself after a type of drugweed. Can’t use the actual name as per forum guidelines.

Good 'ol AD forums, at least this thread didnt breach 100 posts xD

Given how important oil was in the RTS games (and it’s token appearance in WOD), it’s not too much of a stretch to believe that it could exist. You’ve got to power those mechanical farmhands and shredders with something (although steam boilers and techno-magical batteries are also possibilities).

This was news to me as well, but apparently Sour Diesel is a type of c4nnabis. So, rather than just being a reference to a modern fuel, it is in fact a “lol weed” joke.

Yet.

Someone probably told you about it already but blizz added a guild finder function recently, another good place to search for a guild is trade chat. They often advertise there.

The name’s “Eh” at best, yeah since it’s another name for a narcotic.

If someone has a OOC name that really gets under your skin to the point where you can’t just void their existance from your mind, just report the name.

Shaming someone for not RPing on the realm when thay have done next to nothing wrong(Even though they could literally try RP later on) is pretty counterproductive. Not every person who is strictly OOC is the dumb mammoth guy or the griefer Rogue.

Giving the realm the look of “You are either in our shoebox or not” Imo is going to just stop people from even trying RP.

… I’m really not sure how one person deciding not to RP on the realm and instead focus on the in-game content = IC RP destroyed.

It’s not like the guy said he is trying to buy the Mammoth and Growth pots and stand on-top of RPers, jeez.

Imagine going to a PvP server and not doing PvP.

but they might as well be because they add 0 (zero) to the realm’s purpose.

One. And another one. And another one. And another one. And anothe- you get the idea.

Seen plenty of people do this, before Warmode was introduced, since you could easily get some rare mount drops on lower-pop PvP Realms

Imagine going to an Italian restaurant, and when the waiter asks you what you’d like you announce that you prefer Indian food and then take a dump on the floor.

… All which are potential RPers. Why condemn a man for murder when the knife has never been in their hand?

in a perfect world, yes. In a realistic world, no.

behold: OP has no interest in RPing.

I mean, as I said before, and I’ll say it again to clarify my stance on it:

The Naming Policy for our RP server is a geniune rule to follow, since Blizz will actually dish out warnings & escalated punishments to those who continually break it, like with any breaking of the general rules. Such is also the case with names that breach the general Naming Policy on other realms.

It’s not so much “under my skin” as it is I think that it is not alot to ask, by a longshot for people to respect one of the few unique rules we got for the server. It won’t impact your gaming experience if you don’t get to name your character something like “xddkungfupanda” but it will affect the immersion of the RP server for many people.

Basically, my opinion on the matter is:

  1. It’s a rule to play here, follow it. It’s not a difficult one, and even if you personally view it as lesser or disagree, it’s still a rule.
  2. If said person can’t even do that i don’t have much personal hope for that they won’t also troll and disrupt.

Especially when OP’s response was to both do the bog-standard “Omfg whats wrong with ya’ll lol” & then call his ooc buddies to flag my posts(which is just lol).

Other than that, I don’t got much to add really.

Yet nothing stops them from trying out RP in the future? Especially as others have pointed out that some raiding Guilds do have semi-active RPers in them.

I have never really been bothered by OOC-ish names, as long as they aren’t downright disgusting or offensive.

Yeah that’s not looking good.
