Best mount?

Time-lost Proto drake.

Though i confess it isn’t super comfortable on the ground cause it’s so big.

I tend to use the jewel crafting panthers a lot too.

This is one of my all time favourite mounts.
I actually joined these forums to cry about dumb warlock gimmick and infinite tlpd/aeonaxx sharing.

Halloween broom.

Gib permanent version now!

Tough one, it depends on the character that I’m using really, there’s a lot of best mounts to go with different races, classes and mogs (and soon to be covenants!). But I’d say Island Thunderscale is my current fave

I quite enjoy the flying piggy store mount, its a nice small size which is good with flying mounts…plus its a little flying pig so there’s that!

Cloud serpents are my all time fav though.

I’ve always liked very much flameward hypogryph.

I’d have to go with a top 3.

Invincible.

Sha of anger mount.

Midnight.

I really like basic medieval fantasy mounts like Vicious War Ram, Blackpaw or the Grand Gryphon, not a huge fan of more flashy or weird mounts like the Gloomhounds or Lucid Nightmare.

I wished they didn’t have to stick a ton of things on the back of some mounts too like the Prestigious Coursers or some Vicious ones with the flags and everything behind the saddle.

Any that is 2 or more people.

Oof it’s so hard to pick one, because I use whatever mount goes with my mog best xD
I’ve always loved the Felbat models, so Antoran Gloomhound is usually my go to, especially for a Warlock. I think the purples and demon aesthetics really fit it well.
For DKs I usually go with the Ironbound Proto-Drake, because of the blue runes and frosty looking breath.
Clutch of Ji-Kun is another good one. I love the soaring animations of birds, and this one has a nice one. I think it uses a similar model to the Lunarwing druid form.
Lunarwing has to take the cake though for being one of the greatest mounts. Good animations, nice looking, changes color depending on your race, flying two person mount, and it has a sitting animation which is rare for a bird that usually endlessly hovers above ground. If only it wasn’t reserved for druids

I would say the Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher from the ICC Meta Achievement since it’s the first raid mount i got and working for it with my guild felt really rewarding at the time.

I just wish they removed the Achievement mounts in the next tier like with Naxx but that’s just me being greedy wanting a special mount :stuck_out_tongue:

Grand (Armored) Wyvern and its Gryphon counterpart. There’s something about their simplicity and the fact that they’re such classical and iconic mounts.

Broom is excellent because of its unique properties so during the event the first thing I do is go get one and then use it the whole time, but if it just worked like any other mount then naw.

There is no best mount!
There is only one you work on atm.
As soon as you get one there is another one popping on the horizon

Meaning the cake is lie, it’s all about getting to the cafe

Magic Rooster (El pollo grande) owner here. I think I get whispers everytime I visit an auction house. Love the mount, got it from a friend. He has a swift spectral himself, shame these are so rare.

My all-time favourite is the Frostwolf Howler, I’d love to get it again on my Classic Shaman but 3 hour AV queues is silly. It clearly hasn’t held up, and the Frostwolf Snarler does an amazing job of being an updated model of it.

The best looking is the Violet Spellwing and would be my full-time mount if “flying” mounts on the ground weren’t so awkward. It’s also symbolic of one of my happiest times playing WoW as a bonus

But I know I’m going to be resigned to sitting on the damn Sky Golem come Shadowlands. Come on Blizzard, it’s time to make mounted herbalism a mount equipment…

ironbound Wraithcharger because it fits so nice with my transmog, but I’ll always have a soft spot for the Headless Horseman’s! Flying horses all the way

The basic gryphon mounts.

I prefer the Spectral Gryphon myself.

Here’s why:

It has a small model, so the mount isn’t taking up half the monitor and blocking what’s in front or around you.

Its animations are fast, on-point, and have a clear distinction between grounded and flying.
This is important.
If you need to land on some tree branch so you can gank some poor, unknowing Horde player, you want to be certain that you actually are on the tree branch, and not just floating above a non-collision texture. Therefore it’s valuable that your mount has a clear difference between being grounded and flying. So when it’s grounded, then you’re also going to be grounded when you dismount.

And finally, then it has pleasing sound effects, so you can actually have sound on and wear a headset for an extended period of time whilst using it, without going insane.

Those are the reasons why. Small model. Fast and distinctive animations for ground and flying. And quiet sounds.
That’s the blueprint for the ideal WoW mount.

until we get proper rider animations and our dragons can do barrel rolls then it’s my own two feet…

Hey there Arythwinn I’m very sorry to post this in this thread since it’s totally unrelated but would you mind explaining why you have the time to post here but are ignoring all the threads about the horrible server mergers that have completely destroyed some servers?
