They wont forbid it, multiboxers pay sub with tokens and basically having even 2 account mean they pay for 3 accounts indirectly, and the numbers go up as they have even more.
Why do you think its not banned? Its basically free money without any effort.
Multibox farmers can only be stopped if either:
Make nodes single tap or personal
Removal of WoW token.
Noone of them possible happening in the future im afraid.

Yes, but their numbers were much lower (either needed alot of irl money, good pc and internet), also who did this, mostly only did for fun, and not to use another reasons like botting.
Before wow token introduced and multiboxers number raised, only time i meet a multiboxer was in a 5v5 arena in TBC.
I think there are different types of boxer just like there are different types of players.
One is for personal enjoyment (that’s me) I don’t do anything to annoy anyone and I only box 3.
PvP boxers… they just love to dominate and even bring down entire hubs.
Gold farmers… they run 10 Druids and bleed zones dry of herbs and tank the ah prices.
I’d like to see a token buying restriction because I could buy 20 a week from blizzard right now.
There should also be a limit on how many you can purchase from the auction house.

One thing I don’t understand about multiboxing.
They can afford 5-10 char, gametime account and pc.
Why are you farming gold? Just sell token?
Pc is a one off cost.
When I played 5 I just paid for the sub with irl money because I just wanted to dungeon. Now I dropped to 3 I will sometimes pay 1 of the subs with gold.
The cost of 3 accounts even when paid with money isn’t much for me… I don’t go out smoke or drink. I can afford it and it costs a load less than when I used to keep horses! Plus I am on ref a friend and got loads of free gametime out of it.
They farm gold to convert it into gametime and other Blizzard products and services like expansions… they play for free.
I am too lazy for that.
Some people can’t afford to buy a token with real money.
