Best way to get rid of nighttime with settings?

Out of curiosity I asked ChatGPT

Q:
What can be used in the retail version of world of warcraft to make nightime look more like daytime?

A:
In the retail version of World of Warcraft, there are a few options available to make nighttime look more like daytime:

  1. Adjust the Brightness and Contrast Settings: You can try adjusting the brightness and contrast settings of your monitor or in-game settings to make the dark areas of the game appear brighter.

  2. Use a Torch or Lantern: Many items in the game, such as torches or lanterns, emit light and can help illuminate the area around you. These items can be purchased from vendors or found as loot throughout the game.

  3. Use Night-Vision Goggles: Some classes, such as Hunters or Rogues, have access to Night-Vision Goggles that allow them to see in the dark. These can be crafted or purchased from vendors.

  4. Use a Spell: Certain spells, such as Mage’s Conjure Light Crystal or Warlock’s Demonic Circle: Teleport, can create light sources that illuminate the area around you.

  5. Install Add-Ons: There are several add-ons available for World of Warcraft that can enhance the game’s graphics and lighting, making nighttime appear brighter and more vibrant. Some popular add-ons for this purpose include “Real Lights,” “Project Azilroka,” and “Brighter Nights.”

Q2:
Are there any further in-game items, consumables or toys that have an effect on if things look like daytime or night?

A2:
Yes, there are several in-game items, consumables, or toys that can have an effect on how daytime or nighttime looks in World of Warcraft. Here are some examples:

  1. Moonberry Juice: This consumable item can be obtained through cooking or purchased from vendors. Drinking it will give you a buff that increases your spirit and allows you to see in the dark for 30 minutes.
  2. Nightseye Panter: This is a mount that can be obtained through various means, such as crafting or purchasing from other players. It has an ability that increases the brightness of the surrounding area, making it easier to see in the dark.
  3. Fandral’s Seed Pouch: This is a toy that can be obtained by completing a quest in the Molten Front area of Mount Hyjal. When used, it creates a patch of grass that glows brightly, illuminating the area around it.
  4. Enchantments: Some enchantments, such as Enchant Gloves - Fishing or Enchant Gloves - Herbalism, can increase your perception or help you see better in the dark.
  5. Weather Effects: Certain weather effects, such as rain or snow, can affect how the game looks during daytime or nighttime. For example, snow can make everything appear brighter during nighttime.

It’s worth noting that not all of these items or effects will work in every area of the game, as some zones may have different lighting or environmental effects.

OK, that could be the reason why it’s synched. Of course, night is supposed to be dark and hard to see, and Blizzard already watered it down, but maybe that’s why. Too many people never ever want ‘real’ night.

You mean the rainy weather? Yeah, that’s so upsetting because several times right after I used the Jar of Sunwarmed Sand to quest in a bright and shiny Plains, the weather turned bad.

Some of those claims seem questionable. Like the night vision goggles or the moonberry juice. Hard to believe I don’t know about those if true. Especially the juice is so common.

And that right there is the work Blizzard would need to do on its ChatGPT specialised variant. Spirit is not even a stat anymore, since Legion.

I read somewhere that Reddit and Wowhead were significant sources for Bard, Google’s ChatGPT equivalent. I don’t know that GPT was fed the same texts, but it seems reasonable. Can you imagine someone learning everything that was written about WoW in both of those sources, with no distinction about what expansion and patch they were referencing?

Artificial stupidity doing its work
Looks like it just searches words that are usually associated with seeing better at night like light, Night vision and perception and just gives you what it found without any actual context to the game.

Thank you. This made a huge difference for me.

It is a good sign that humanity still has some time left before Skynet is created.

Though it can be argued that Humanity has successfully become more stupid in the last decade
