Bg queues for horde are not "Original Tbc" either

It is just as likley to happen as Merc or horde vs horde.

Well, keep dreaming then.

The answer is: No.

The queue times are not vanilla, correct.
And neither is a mass of people picking their faction based on spreadsheets.

This problem is not caused by the game.
Therefore the game doesn’t have to change to fix it.

So having long queue times for horde isnt fine. But having less players to play with, less items to buy, be constantly ganked by horde players is fine?

It wont die. People will move to ali side and game will become more balanced.

Get in line man, we are HORDES for 15 years and so, i would rather have my throat amputated than change to an alliance

To the allies that somehow dont see the advantage of improving horde quetimes for them… You do realize that you are being camped everywhere you go mostly because of queue times, right? For example I usually never attack lower levels, but since I can play one bg every two hours and I need honor, yeah… I kill everyone I can on sight.

At this point I’d just give 2 racials to all races, their horde and alliance counterparts. Just make them share cd. So if u are a human you can choose if you wanna use Perception or Blood Fury. Same if you are orc, etc
I know it seems too much, but fk it, I’d rather have this than the horrible queue times we are having. Also if they made this change, most allies that are against mercenary mode wouldnt mind it that much (I hope) AND it also would make implementing mercenary mode so much easier.

To the horde thats doesnt see the disadvantages that ally would get after merc mode. The population problem would never get better for ally as they would lose big reason to actually reroll to ally, thus the problem would grow until wotlk

Ummm! Idk about these queues man.

But the population is not the problem really. It’s the fact that less alliance play pvp than horde do. Maybe having 5-10% more horde players overall is part of it, but if every alliance and horde player qued for bg regularly, we wouldn’t have 2 hour queues I don’t think.

Also, you are saying that, since fixing one of the problems the game has wont fix all of the others, it’s just better do not do anything at all? Big logic man, you should probably ger hired by blizzard. Maybe instead suggest reasonable solutions to the alliance problems so we can have a productive conversation.

Having this disparity in BG ques is not gonna make many people reroll alliance. If we had a free faction transfer, then yeah, but leveling all the way from lvl 1, on a new realm? I dont know about that… And since we’re talking about blizzard here, we all know that a free trasnfer would never exist, 40 bucks minimum XD

Well, there is free server transfer so why not faction?
Also isnt the difference in pvpers also problem? Maybe that should be balanced too?
And it isnt that solving this wouldnt affect the othrr problem that is literally the same problem btw. It would make it worse

Aight, then lets use the solution Blizzard used in retail for warmode. They give extra bonus % to alliance because its harder to do world stuff with warmode on as aliance, right? Ok, then in TBC give horde a higher % of honor per BG, since its just harder to get into BGs as horde. Is it a fair solution? No, but honestly it seems like nothing will feel “fair” to you, since apparently most alliance players are enjoying this a lot.
Idk man, I’m all for free faction transfer, but I just dont belive they would do it, after the milking they did for TBC release with all the microtransactions.
Also they would have to break another rule that wasnt broken until cata i think, which is allowing to have both faction characters on the same realm and same account. Either that, or make the transfer just swap all your characters I guess…

After reading this whole topic and especially the responses from salty Alliance players with their “boo hoo reroll a gnome or suffer 2h BG queues tHiS iS fInE” I am actually glad you don’t get to enjoy open world and I’ll be happy to camp you while farming gold during my lengthy queue times. If Blizzard introduces Merc mode to TBC I might reconsider, otherwise have fun playing with the 10:1 ratio you seem to enjoy.

T2.5 lvl 70, yeah every lvl 70 pvper must be so afraid of your glory, go farm lowbies, you cant do any other pvp anyway, only griefing you bg team

Dont really give a f*** about horde and their que time they are nothing but playing on carebear side with everything handed to them from Blizzard so making sure they waste as much irl time doing nothing is good time spent.

i never said that?
You do have realm transfers, you dont have faction change.

This is so wierd, I wonder what happend that caused alot of alliance players to just disappear? It’s almost as if a metric ton of them just stopped playing on some servers all together and then the queues got really bad all of a sudden. Hmm… What if? Naaah… Can’t be related.

Sweet sweet karma. :smiling_face_with_three_hearts:

Battlegrounds are utterly broken. Just queued for EoTS for 1 hour 10 mins. Straight into a game v’s a full Gehennas premade. Queued again for 1 hour 10 mins… straight into a game v’s a full Venoxis premade (OK, there was ONE Dragon’s Call guy in it). So that’s 2 hours 20 mins queue, 20 minutes game time total… 2 hours 40. 2 marks, zero honour.

Alliance can gain honour 4 or 5 times faster than horde. Alliance in BGs will have a massive disparity of gear v’s horde that cannot get it. Secondly, Alliance are able to learn to play at rate 4-5 times fastr than horde. Result - even if queue times were the same, horde would increasingly lose more and more BGs as the gear and experience gap widens.

Utterly broken.

no. That would have negative effects on the alliance playerbase (by further exacerbating the faction imbalance). When horde asks for this, it sounds incredibly selfish and disgusting.

You could have also taken 2 minutes to read one of the 50 threads where this has been thoroughly explained and avoided looking like a selfish prick. But hindsight is 20/20, eh?

We should all be together on fixing ALL the problems the faction inequality causes, not just the horde’s.

It’s actually disheartening that 12 days later this situation still stands without a word from the classic team.
At this point any type of communication would be welcomed even if it was a big “f u, just rerol” like we see consistently on this forums.

After thinking more into this subject, faction change would be the only way (that i can think of) where it wouldn’t influence the alliance in a bad way like Mercenary Mode would.
Horde players would have to leave friends/guilds behind but in all fairness, the horde players need to sacrifice something if they do want this problem fixed.

10 days into arena season 1 and tbc pvp might be ruined for the rest of its time.

I agree and I imagine blizzard will add faction changes since It’s the only solution that doesn’t come across one-sided.

Shame we haven’t heard from them, hopefully they’ll respond soon enough. I just wonder how they’ll do this since TBC has a limitation on having more than one faction per account on realms.
