Your post combined with your fancy transmog is the most fitting post ever!
You even Silverpine forest bro?
blood elf.
wdym?
I did in fact.
I’m talking about the way they look, not their lore. The lore does feel shoehorned in though, if we’re going to talk about that as well.
Depends of what you want to get out of it. If you want good animations pick a non runt, non mutant (not too mutant at least) race. So on the Horde side you have belfs, nb elves, zandalari trolls and arguably orcs.
Or you can just wait a bit longer till they make the SL races playable and you can pick between a vampire and a skeleton.
Depends on what spec you aim on playing and the content you want to do. Generally, on Horde side you cannot go wrong with:
Goblin - Overall useful racials. Haste is good for all three specs, and rocket jump is one of the best mobility abilities in the game.
Highmountain Tauren - Very good defensive racials, and on top of that you also have an extra mobility/CC tool in the form of a charge.
Blood elf - Very useful racial utility, though the extra crit strike you get from passive isn’t really impactful.
On Alliance side:
Night Elf - Shadowmeld is really really good in M+ content, but only in organised groups.
Worgen - An extra mobility from your racial, always nice to have.
Dwarf - The ability to remove 99% of debuffs from yourself, including bleeds, is really strong, well worth sacrificing some mobility for it. If you go dark iron that dispel also gives you a small damage boost too.
Other races of course can work too, but the ones I highlighted are a generally safe bet to go for.
Nightelf they have vampire fangs and have the coolest attack animations !
Human or zandalari troll. Something with a large and imposing silhouette. Even an upright orc could work.
I mean they are litterally NPC model that was not supposed to be playable.
But that’s why I like them.
Yeah I was actually aware of that. They looked vastly different in their NPC days though. You can still find models in the game that have the same model, such as a rare in Northend.
Worgen.
Running on all four while chasing other player is fun. Darkflight is usefull on DK with low mobility too.
And goblin look bad in plate armor, same problem like with gnomes.
Yeah, their old model was better. They looked like a real beast.
Now blizz made them look like a doggo.
Even their new skins are irl dog fur.
It’s because they are alliance so they want to make them look LESS badass?
Gnome face, “void elf warlock”.
WTF THIS HERESY??
So are Kul Tirans though.
The old models are of Night Elf Worgen, not Human Worgen.
Race change. Takes a while for forums to update.
Depends what faction:
If alliance and want a in-game bonus other than how your character looks
human provides a stun breaker
nelf brings op op meld
dwarf can negate some bleeds with their active racial etc? / same again for DI dwarf but with a inbuilt flat damage buff
draenei has % hp heal for a racial
worgen gets 40% movespeed bonus
void elf for cheaper mog/a teleport ability
LF draenei if you hate yourself? / mog purposes
horde
orc: stun duration reduced/ flat damage on demand racials
undead to break fear / swag looks
tauren for more base hp/aoe stun
troll for haste if you want to re-roll unholy
zanda troll to have your straight back troll
goblin have rocket jump
belf has aoe purge
vulpera take flat damage reduction vs every unique mob they fight
pandaren have an incap/reduced fall damage Dummy thicc bear people
Nah, they were Gilnean human. There are no elf worgen in game.
You are right about Kul Tiran tho. Ogre model existed since RTS.
DK’s are very immobile, they shouldn’t be racing at all… Wheelchair class
Gnome dk’s are hilarious!
