That is because they are dead humans…and they actually look pretty good now. But go ahead and make your pretty little blood elf like you want. And maybe not make a topic every time you want to make a new name/class/race and try to decide what you want to do by yourself.
Orc.
You see many Orc mages in Oribos maybe because they could be PvPers.
Orc racial are good in every PvP situation and every spec benefit from them. They have increase attack power every two minutes and stun effects are reduce by 20%.
You can benefit from these racial in PvE but if you want to choose a good race for mage, Troll is the right pick.
If you don’t care about any of those things listed above choose whatever you enjoy most.
If you don’t want to have a second blood elf (and I can’t imagine why you wouldn’t ), go with nightborne. Blood elves have also the option to roleplay as a blue dragon. Case in point, yours truly here
(you just need to get the legendary staff from the firelands raid to complete the fantasy).
Orc.
Orc mage mogs can work well just gotta think outside the box a bit beyond “i wear colourful robe thus I am mage”
Mag har blackrock skin in BRF mage mythic tier set looks amazing for example.
If we’re talking numbers tho orc is best PvP hands down and troll better than belf for pve. The utility of dispel not necessary as most horde groups will have 2 belf in all probability so the value of an extra purge goes down a bit, but 10% haste is always good especially with bursty specs like fire and arcane.
Why not a Nightborne?
If you have Nightborne unlocked they’re a great fit for mage! (Of course hehe)
Between Belf and Orc I’d choose orc, I think they look great with their new customisations!
Why not a Vulpera ?
Aristocratic noble elves> yiff uwu daddy furries
Blood Elf, if you want to look cool in the forums.
Only Blood Elves get <3 in here.
I have both Undead and Nightborne mage. They are both realky good looking for Mage.
Undead is more of a badass kinda looking character. But there is one thing that made me roll a Nightborne as well. Gear sets on UD mage doesn’t really reflect the coolness of the gear itself. Also as i am a male UD, i don’t look good in robes
On the other hand gear on a Nightborne is looking fine. And as i rolled a female Nightborne i look really good in robes.
Yes because mages are relying to burst windows in their whole damage rotation therefore blood fury is very strong. Probably the best M+ mage world and one of the top mage raiders Himelody plays orc, these people are 1000% meta-slaves and they dont have “lore feelings” neither care about looks.
Orc female is by far the best body model ingame, tight waist, big shoulders and awesome hips to make it curvy and gorgeous. Human and Belves are like… Too thin, skinny. Just a pile of bones.
Once upon a time, an alliance player said in the forums OMEGALUL
Blood Elf without a doubt, they are the best for Mages. Aesthetics and mogs are the best for them.
On the side, Shaman are brilliant for Orcs.
Always blood elf mage…if you wanna make warlock(also undead as well), warrior, shaman consider orc.
If you like elves this much, don’t want another barbie and only thinking Horde, then roll a nightborne. Perfect fit thematically, and the racials are also pretty okay. 1% bonus magic dmg and an aoe slow are both useful. Summoning a mailbox is another niche ability you might have need of.
Troll! The only right race mon!
Orc mage is such a weird combo. So if you want to be unique go with that.
Otherwise blood elf mage is a popular pick
Belves are cool, but it’s a shame they have only one gender. PvP>orc, PvE>troll, best look>undead
Short answer : BE if you care about aesthetics.
Shorter answer : Zuk Zuk Boi if you care about performance.
Blood Elf if you don’t want to look like a complete dork.
Orc if you care in the slightest about strong racial perks in PVP.
With that said I find Female Orc is the closest Horde model to Human
If this a factor for your char, why not simply roll Alliance and play Human Mage?
