where did you read that
whatever that means, how is this going to end? Like people in Serbia never again be able to play WoW???
Well I am giving up. My wow sub expired anyways…
It’s not CG-NAT, because many ISPs around the world are switching users to it because of lack of IP adresses. It must be something else.
IF Carrier-grade NATs is implemented then we must learn to do tricky staff with our routers or pay for vpn … yea right
Bruh when you have CG-NAT port forwarding is not possible.
WOW needs to have opens ports in order to work.
Don’t talk about stuff you don’t know. Yes, it’s cheaper for ISPs to put users under CGNAT and it’s OK for ppl who use internet for social networks and browsing in general, which is like 90% of the internet users. But for 10% of those who need port forwarding and direct communication with other devices/servers it means they either need another provider or to demand regular public IP. There is no port forwarding with CGNAT, period.
So all of a sudden we all got CGNAT and our WoW career is dead. Don’t think so, they’ve been using CGNAT since 2015.
So what’s issue in your opinion?
Don’t know. There was this kind of problem a couple of years ago and it got fixed. Blizz and MTS need to open up a channel and talk it trough, we are powerless.
Also we can all use other services and play other games, so… Play something else till they fix it, cancel your sub, can’t beat the bush about it.
I gave them a call recently, they said to me that they are very well aware of the issue and alot of people complained on the same problem. They are working on it , and they will let me know as soon as possible for the issue to be solved.
I guess, as Glorigar mentioned above, we have to be patient and wait.
In meantime, I would sugest read some nice book, watch a show you didn’t see before or try out a new game.
Cheers
Since November 2015 to be precise, and since they’ve been increasing speeds, they’ve started migrating all users. As simple as that. I don’t know why that sounds so complicated to you.
I’ve tried this several times in the last couple of days without any luck, but somehow 10 minutes ago it magically worked! Maybe try doing this a couple of times boys, no idea what else could work at this point tbh…
This is what worked for me:
Type 192.168.1.1 into your browser’s address bar. When prompted, use this:
User name: telekom
Password: telekom
Go to ‘Management & Diagnosis’ tab, then click on ‘System Management’ on the left. You will see ‘Reboot Management’ field with a ‘Reboot’ button inside. Go to Task Manager and kill ALL Battlenet processes. When you’ve done that, click ‘Reboot’ button. Wait for the modem to start over and hope for the best.
Thanks Ravensfall!
After waiting about 20+ mins to get to operators, they almost instantly forwarded the problem to local central (something to be fixed/changed remotely). They are well aware of this and said problem should urgently be solved due to receiving many phone calls complaining about same thing. Hopefully today/tomorrow.
I have waited for nearly 45 minutes to get through to an operator, and they confirmed I was on the damned CG NAT.
And they said “But… If you really need those ports open, I guess we could put through a request…”
Hopefully it can be resolved that way.
Klasicna srpska posla… " Ajde ako bas mora, radicemo svoj posao" Tuga.
It works for me now!!
Did you do anything differently or it just started working on its own?
I tried turning off a router and pc for 2min, I have installed the WoW and download has finished, it seems that I can play again.Let me just go in-game
