Boosting destroyed the game, good job bli$$ard

What are my choices if I’m new player and don’t have friends? To be stuck at 1.4k forever or buy boosts?
See my long post above, I explained why 1.4k skill is not enough to push 1.4k (you need to be around 1.8k-skilled).

Find a people to play with?
why are you trying to FIND excuses instead of trying to find people to play with?
if blizzard will DELETE all boosting and there will be no TOKEN
you will still be stuck at 1,4k ?
because that is the MINDSET you have
you think you are there because of BOOSTS but that is a LIE

I did it a few times but it only works if multiple people do it, in general most players dont care.

Trust me, I am trying hard doing that. But every third game is vs boosters that ruin our cr and don’t let it go higher.
Mostly every time our cr goes up vs people with similar gear, then we get several matches vs boostgroups and it’s back down (and often my buddy leaves party as if it’s my fault so I have to start all over again).
So, yes, IT’S BECAUSE OF BOOSTS

Maybe we need to spread the word then.

This mindset is why you are stuck at 1,4
as long as you think that someone else is responsible for your failure  you will never move UP
have a nice day

Wouldn’t help. For example I never report anyone for anything as a rule. Sometimes there are exceptions, but I’m not getting paid to moderate the game.

Blizzard would actively need to do stuff with EVERY report before people would be bothered. They say every report is looked at that’s plainly a lie.

When it comes to PvP in WoW, the only way to win is not to play. Play other games if you want good PvP. PvP in WoW always was bad, is absolutely terrible at the moment, and never will get fixed.

In PvE, you can definitely progress as a new player without boosts.

  • M+: Play tank or healer if you want an easy time getting your ranking up, so that you can get your weekly +15s. If you insist on playing DPS, you’ll have to create your own groups or try to make friends with others and play regularly with them.
  • Raid: Find a casual guild that still has DPS spots open. If you’re new to raiding, try finding a guild that still does normal difficulty.

Why do you think I got that mindset in the first place? Oh wait, maybe it’s because 1/3 of all games are vs boosters that are guaranteed cr loss.

Well, if some day enough people start reporting boosters then maybe blizzard will notice that it’s A PROBLEM and see that people are unhappy? Maybe it will change something. Probably not, but maybe.

Yes I know, because at least it’s doable and for example M+/raid bosses don’t get boosted to impossible levels as in PvP. But I have low interest in PvE as it’s too repeative, and PvE gear is mostly useless for PvP.

If they havent realized by now that people are opposed to it (also LFG advertisement is forbidden anyhow) then they never will.

Just having 1 person each monitoring all languages LFG tool would be enough to get rid of it if they constant bann. They only have so much accounts to burn through. So 3 people per language in an 8hr shift.

Why exactly should we do that? It’s perfectly reasonable to expect that Blizzard are able to monitor for boost groups in group finder themselves. It’s their job to enforce the rules they created, or these rules are meaningless.

my hunter I made just for this patch has cleared to 1.9 m+ rating purely from pugging, my priest I made just for pvp is at 1.8k only pugging with no voice… the problem isn’t boosting at all, you just aren’t no where near as good as you think you are

It can be partially solved by changing the game design to one character progression while not allowing people to own more than one game account and then adding a system that would flag people who had high ranking in their carrier but keep playing with low tier people all the time. With decent oversight from GMs and severe penalties, the whole boosting issue could be squished to a minimum if not scare people enough to pretty much stop entirely.

Tbh, the main issue with any negative activities in the game is that there is no serious penalty. If the game account was tied to your PC config ID and boosting was perma bannable then almost no one would risk losing their account.

And yet you completely ignored part about “every third game is guaranteed cr loss”. But hey I just need to win 80% of other 2/3, right? super ez.
My point is that I need to be much better than 1.4k to push 1.4k, do you think it’s okay way of things?

There are boosting services, but I think a lot of people blame their own mistakes on various stuff like p2w services instead of improving.

Boosting just discourages people.

Say i am juggling between 1400 - 1600, i need 3-4 more wins to hit 1600 and upgrade my gear.

Game 1 you bump into a booster, destroyed.
Game 2 you bump into a BOOSTED, playing with rival gear at 1550.

Your natural rating might indeed be 1400 - 1600 but that doesn’t mean boosting or the people that were boosted playing with gear advantage against their peers don’t ruin the game for others.

I simply think going back to WoD gearing would solve all issues in regards to PvP gearing / boosting but… I guess Blizzard wants its player-base to be annoyed, leave the game and/or be salty/toxic in the process.

And let me add this, even 2.2k rating in 2v2 is very high. You can check uh, was it called lubuslabs? Anywho, any source will serve i guess, you will see that 2.2k and above constitutes a small minority of the PvP folks.

Meaning, majority of the player base is open to negative effects of boosting hence why we see so many posts about it.

I looked at your character, you are stacking mast/vers, this is completely wrong for pvp and pve, you need to be stacking haste/vers, your legendary choice is also useless in pvp, again you have the wrong stats on that item too.

Your talents are wrong for pvp, and I’m guessing you don’t swap up your pvp talents depending on matchup either

If you were so pvp focused you would swap covenant to night fae, being anything else is putting yourself as a disadvantage, has much higher skill cap and the hunt can be used to bait cooldowns

The reason you are losing is not just from boosters or this “guarantee lose every 3rd game” mentality you have, its literally you being unable to grasp wtf you are meant to be doing

I guarantee if any actual pvp player watched that YouTube of you playing and gave feedback you wouldn’t learn from them either

So someone who is a higher rank can never play with his or her buddies unless they’re of the same rank?

Limited to one account?

How do counteract for legitimate forms of boosting which are solely from in game earned currency, those of which have existed in MMOs dating back to Ultima Online?

Boosting is an issue but you simply can’t solve it, even FF14 has a large issue with boosting, especially in pvp, wherever there is a system which has a reward ceiling like any MMO you will get the better players carrying the lesser players for a nominal fee.

I agree that boosting ruined the game like i see hordies with around 45k in health and sometimes more and not many alliance have that much health.
