I never liked them to be honest. One thing is individual cases when guilds take new recruits with them to gear them for their raids or when someone is inviting his friends for some dungeon runs, but another is when some people sell them to cheat in PvP or to boost who knows how many players which didn’t deserved to obtain some gear and achievements in the game by their gaming efforts.
There is a big difference between a PvP carry which can only progress so far (if the one being carried isn’t skilled) and this is not cheating, and a PvP pilot which is against the ToS.
Sure, there are lots of things I dislike, both specific and in more general terms.

And there’s been things I’ve disliked about previous expansions as well.
I despised the whole Alternative Universe story-setting of WoD.
I wasn’t a fan of playable Pandaren for both factions in MoP.
I don’t approve of rewards tied to programs that aren’t available to all countries (RaF, SoR, etc.).
I’m furious about the fact that Blizzard’s own design failures are something WoW players need to pay for, like transferring a realm.
I also have lots of annoyances about Blizzard in general.
I think they discuss things internally for too long, slowing actual development of their games needlessly. Everything from Diablo III in its entirety to the design-decision for flying in WoD would apply.
I think their obsessive desire to drive an eSport scene for all their games is silly.
I think the pricing on a lot of their microtransactions is way too high, be it skins in SC2 or mounts in WoW.
And there’s lots more. It’s just rarely that forum topics explore more topics of discussion than the latest fall in stock prices or the current exodus of subscribers or such herp derp crap.
But I have lots of issues with WoW and Blizzard. Neither are perfect.

how’s a friend helping you to obtain good gear, any different from someone else helping you to obtain good gear for gold. lmao
Individual cases of helping the players in the game in progression don’t affect the player base in the same amount as the boosters do which are boosting people massively to get the highest achievements and gear in game for gold.
last time I checked I was individual as well. I affect playerbase as much as anyone else

For the gear? Oke on the main a 385 is quite good if has the right stats, but I do it for the exclusive 370/385 mogs solely (cloth and leather Darkshore and plate Arathi). Fom the first 2 I only miss 1 piece now, except cloth which has 2 385 chest pieces so officially 2 there.
i mean different people enjoy different things - true. but it doesnt change the fact that some people are straight up weirdos who should be kept away from society.

For me AP is the single most demoralising thing in the game, it isn’t totally soul destroying on a main, but when it comes to alts it makes them so far behind. Trying to grind out 33 on an alt with a 385 chest at the moment to open up the last level.
And also the time lost when you play something else. I’m doing new T3 content in LOTRO tonight with friends and still feel I should be grinding AP in WOW.

Mate everytime i do wf , i’ll just rush them without capturing anything other then main base. They are doing no damage and killing 2 of them tooks like 10min solo. Arathi one is even easier. I can easily say if they replace those op loots with cosmetics or mounts i will never do wf again ( even tho i’m casually collecting mounts). Don’t get me wrong difficulty is not my problem , i’m not demanding heroic or mythic dif. They are boring as hell… What i want is replacement of that op loot with something else so i won’t be forced to spend that 20 min per toon every 2 weeks (btw playing with 5 ally 1 horde atm) .

Did you read my post? 385 loot is mythic lvl loot and it is basically not ignorable.
So you’re just a loot whoar (spelling intended) then? You don’t need the loot from WF. All other content is perfectly doable without it

They could be improved a lot if they took a lesson from old Alterac Valley side objectives and how they were handled.
A reputation and vendor tied to them would also help players look forward to other rewards.
