Is this “Brann the Broken” the one they talked about in Game of Thrones?
I think no one from Blizz is actually playing the game anymore. They just beta test on us.
Nerfing Brann? Have you tried doing Zekvir’s lair? It’s extreamly overtuned and Brann does almost no damage.
If I join as a tank and put Brann as DPS, I expect the DPS should do more dmg than the tank, at least in single target. But it’s the other way around. He does like 50% of what I do.
What’s the point of playing with Brann as dps if he can’t even even do his job? It feels like M+ with pugs all over again.
You’re not alone! Exact same experience on my resto druid at tier 8. Was tough before, but now impossible.
Soo I just dinged a new character and brought her in 2 T8 solo delves at 550. While very doable the nerf was noticeable. I think Brann will need further buffs as I’m not sure ?? difficulty Zekvir will be very fun to complete in his current state.
I’m sorry but this is a horrible decision. Delves filled a role it wasn’t supposed to and y’all should’ve just rolled with it. Add random things if Brann being a cold blooded killer is the issue, because the combination of hack and slash and using your abilities to not get 2 shot by literally anything made the mode super fun. Now it’s just a different form of dungeon with a gear check that is most likely gonna just fade into obscurity when m+ comes out
My recommendation for Blizzard is actually play your game, also play your game on Radeon systems not just NVIDIA systems for 2 whole years i could not play wow at all because i was one of the unlucky one’s, some players still suffer today.
As result i am very depressed have no friends, and have conversations and thoughts stuck in my head dragging me further into depression or a panic attack even.
Thanks blizard for ignoring me for 2 years and not even compensating users for it.
Whole expansion Dragonflight missed most of it, and that’s not even the worst of it, you ruined my life, at the worst possible time when i was weak.
I dont understand the delves has felt really nice the last few days for solo atleast why would they go ahead and ruin everything?
Hi, I just wanted to give my feeback too.
I’m a holy priest. I have been playing this class spec for all content from legion to now and consider myself very experianced.
As holy priest there are a few critical challeneges I face in solo delves.
The first is that Holy lacks all interupts. so every spell that goes off on monsters immune to CC like boss’s, and i need to heal past it to proceed.
The second is Holy doesn’t really do damage. This is where bugged brann came in.
Prebug fix Me and brann would take about 30-40 minutes per a delve, it was slow progress, couple close calls every time with certain encounters but it was doable just about.
Postbug fix it takes so long to kill enemys at +8 that certain delves are proving very awkard, for example I tried the sinkhole. Time to kill mobs was so long, that I would drown before killing one pack and im ilvl 595 so thats not like im rolling in without gear either.
Though i’ve not tested it there is certain boss fights that I know will be much more tricky. Under-Lord Vik’tis Desyncs over time. as the time between his second impale and stinging swarm gets longer and longer. at some stage (normally around the old 30-40% range) I had to fade aggro to Brann so he wouldn’t be casting stinging swarm point blank. (which is fatal and happened)
and Web General Ab’enar who as I have no intrrupts gets both Curse of Agony and Runic Shackles on me every time, when that happens im melting. so I fade (both for damage reduction and to make brand eat its webbolts) but if he can no longer take a hit…
Im working on a post to hopefully give a workable idea for how to make brann work for players or any party size, or setup.
I’m at a complete loss… Brann is completely useless now, he died to 1 mob while I had 3 on me.
His DPS is shockingly bad, constantly bugging out, not healing in between fights and hits the deck from a swift fart pointed in his direction.
I haven’t tried the nerubian boss since the nerf (“hotfix”) but its Unavoidable AOE will decimate him. That boss was pretty difficult to get through with brann tanking it, no idea if its doable now.
This is starting to put me off delves all together. It was fun when I was going through solo accompanied by Brann the tank that did pretty good damage, but now… it just feels bad. And the worst thing about it is for outlaw its only going to get worse this reset…
So that’s why delves felt easy sometimes and way harder other times, it wasn’t even the fixes it was brann doing randomly 10x the damage. For me on havoc dh solo now i feel like it’s nerfed overall but for other specs it might be that before it was even worse.
SO here is my suggestion to ‘Fix’ brann.
See in my eyes the problem is that everyone wants to have brann ‘fill’ a part in the party. So if that’s what players are seeking how about thats what they get?
Give brann 3 hidden buffs, No healer, No Tank, -1 Dps
having the No healer buff will unlock the ability to use his healing potions and titan orb thingy and is automatically applied when no one is in the healing specialisation.
-1 dps. this buff would stack upto 3 times, each time increasing branns damage acordingly. the idea is simple the more dps players your team is missing the more dps brann will deal. additionally each stack would increase odds of them interrupting a spell (on an internal CD equal to hunter) useful for bosses like web general Ab’enar who really really wants at least 2.
Having the no tank buff gives brann a hunter pet who will do tank things, its durable scales with misson level targetable with buffs and healing and adds extra damage in its own attacks but its less damage than the DPS buff. kinda like how tanks players deal less damage. the tank will also boost interupt odds.
Advantages; Scales to party setup ranging from kinda useless in a 5man dungeon comp to as long as you do your job you win as solo. It also takes into consideration the challeneges players on certain specs want to face (healers healing, tanks tanking, dps dpsing)
Disadvantages; Makes the spec system redundant, takes devlopment time.
doing your suggestion considerations; it will make delves less frustrating as the class or role your missing is filled by the NPC, it will be fair as you will still have to perform your job to succeed (healer heal, tanks tank ect.) and it scales based on party comp. having Brann scale to the delve means he is always geared, so if your failing at your job its entirely on you, improve your own skill to proceed (or gear).
Way underperforming.
Cuz blizz are helicopter parents when it comes to pve while absentee parents when it comes to pvp.
They hear pvers laughing and run to stop the joy. They hear pvpers crying and dont even turn their heads to look.
At this point just revert delves like they were 1 week ago and please have the staff take couple of weeks holidays so you stop messing with it.
Just stop with the “hotfixes” at this point, we all have seen what happens if you push a “Hotfix” for the delves…
That’s the problem of almost all IT business right now. Everything needs to be fast, the dev teams needs to be empowered in their decision making, QA is shorten like hell or removed totally.
It leads to low quality output which is not though out correctly… And to be honest, relying on public testing is the worst of all, that’s not the job of public testing to find out your balancing issues or major mechanic issues, it’s the job of a QA team.
But it’s not a secret that high management hate QA, they are the one delaying your releases, insisting on fixing the problem that you want under the carpet and most of all they are the ones with the closest vision to the customer expectations.
oh well that’s all over for Brann it seems.
maybe blizz should introduce a new item in the shop:
Brann’s Boosting Booze
increasing his hp and dps to unhotfixed (EA) levels
9.99€ only per piece, consumed on use, not persists through death
Yup, it seems Blizz doesn’t have a clear baseline for hard Delves should be and how Bran should scale. They’ve got some ilvl recommendations for the Delve tiers, but I think they’ve never been all that accurate.
Every day in the last 4 days or so, they’ve done some extreme tuning adjustments or bug fixes that drastically change the difficulty.
And the sad thing is, this week Delves are the most rewarding progression pillar. People who were planning to gear up some alts at this point for the mythic season start are screwed.
Maybe i’m getting cynical, but my first thought when reading this was “I wonder what the unintended side-effect of this will be?”
its not surpprising though .
all good staff left blizzard in recent years because they were to toxic to keep them ,
only remaining ones are "non-toxic progressive " crowd.
and we see the effects.
you can see it in most of big corporasions now. not only in gaming.
