Danuser wants us to forget the original story, wants it erased, gone, because he could never match it. It’s the way of many people who inherited a great charaacter or idea but are not worthy of it. All he can do is degrade it.
Maybe if Danuser is replaced with someone bigger, we might someday be able to overlook or forget the horribly botched retcons.
For myself, I pretend that after going through the Red Portal to Draenor, we are in some alternate universe, and never really came home. That’s my copium.

Arthas is gone and we should be happy. His story had a start, middle and decent end.
His soul being used in Shadowlands luckily doesn’t take away from his story and we should be thankful that’s all they did with him. Could’ve been so much worse.

No Arthas Menethil is the heart of Warcraft 3 He needs to be brought back and be the new leader of The Alliance or at least be a mentor and a farther figure for Anduin Wrynn.
