Thank you, I appreciate that. Let’s hope blizzard are listening to us players like they claim they are
I agree they should bring it back.
But this time make 2 vendors.
Vendor 1: Sells two items both items are 9,999,999 gold.
Vendor 2: Sells the Mount but you need both items from vendor 1 to get it.
I think it should come back but in the colour Blue - keep the old Green one as a trophy for those who worked hard for it.
that is actually genuinely good idea ! i love it!
Maybe, but I’d sooner they just return the original one tbh. I’ve in game sent them feedback about it although I believe this is just a waste of time with them, I can only hope they listen for once. And not just to the mythic raiding 1% player base like they normally do
I may be wrong (but I suspect I am not) but I think the AH mount got removed because Blizzard realised (too late) that it was an awful mistake introducing it in the first place as it has the potential to have a major impact upon the economy as well as making major hubs ghost towns.
It was a nice idea yes but they should instead have just made AH outposts in places instead.
I doubt it had any impact on the economy, in fact it would of helped to a small degree. All the super rich gold makers would of had it from the start. And most hubs where ghost towns long before they introduced the mount. It was removed artificially to make people buy tokens in a rush I believe.
As far as I know, their reason for removing it was also that they feared it would become too common. But that’s a very strange concern to have about a collectible item in a paid MMO.
It doesn’t seem as if there was ever any consideration for new and returning players either, or those that were at first undecided about buying it. I would’ve wished for a more consumer-friendly method, and perhaps them acknowledging that while it was a poor decision to implement the mount, it also wouldn’t be fair to punish players that didn’t buy it in BfA when the players that now own it get to keep exercising their privilege over others due to the mount’s extreme convenience.
They feared it would become too common because of the AH on the mount. It’s why that’s gone but not things like the transmog mount or the old wrath one, or most other ones that don’t have special use, like the 2mil spider.
Don’t know if they want to just add it back, or not with the AH still there.
If they bring it back just because new and returning players missed out, then they should bring back all old gear sets pve/pvp from vanilla, tbc and so on and removed mounts and titles and make them obtainable again for the same reasons.
But they intended it to be a gold sink. If other gold sink mounts or items haven’t been removed, then why this one, regardless of how common it is or would have been? And if it’s too powerful of an item to exist, why keep it in the game for others to use?
I’m not sure if that’s directly comparable. A mobile auction house means additional player power (obviously not gear-wise), less time spent traveling to a stationary auction house and instant access to the entire realm’s market. Cosmetics or mounts from past expansions don’t have any other function.
Would be nice if it were still ingame. I would love casually farming it when I don’t know what to do.
That’s exactly what I was doing as I never thought they’d remove it randomly a couple of months before the expansion ended, right when I was taking a break. That was content for me and I was enjoying it. Then bam, gone for no good reason. I really feel robbed as a paying customer for over 14 years. I would like them to reconsider asap…but all you get is radio silence
I think so too. It’s not the 1st time they made a bad decision, and corrected it after a while due to players soaring.
I have a strong feeling it will return.
I feel the same way. I trusted them when they said that the mount would move to the BMAH, but waiting there every day to check if it has spawned for over a year is soul-draining and doesn’t respect the customer at all.
And even then, there is only one copy of the mount given out, which, for other players, renews the cycle of waiting for years because they weren’t quick enough to bid goldcap on it.
I hope it does. If past events are any indication, they have changed their minds about things that were far more controversial than the reintroduction of a single gold sink mount.
I hope your strong feelings are correct but it’s blizzard, they rarely show any care for their players
Hey, check out the most recent news on Wowhead. The world boss mounts were hotfixed to have their drop chances greatly increased.
This means that they are, after all, concerned with the game being fair to everyone, even if this choice is more likely to be motivated by damage control. But this gives me hope to see the Brutosaur being placed in the game again at some point.
I hope they bring it back during BFA timewalking to his vendor or for cap gold
Really? I’ll test this with my legion of alts and report back
But yeah I wish more for the Brutosaur to be returned so let’s see if they really are listening
