A little bit, but at least most of those are done in nice outdoor locations (researchers one is my least favourite out of those three, I just don’t enjoy the dark cave vibe for extended periods of time).
There’s a big difference between those events and going through dark depressing corridor after corridor after corridor killing the same mobs over and over. Torghast was truly horrible bottom-of-the-barrel content.
I’mma be that guy. I loved Torghast, I hated that it was mandatory.
My favourite parts were the long ones that you just did for achievement and cosmetics, it was fun to see how many powers you could end up with. Also, it allowed me to basically have 100 % uptime on wings which was fun.
There were some great flavour ones, that were clearly too overpowered to ever be introduced to players in PvE or PvP encounters, but was great for the type of content that Torghast was. Divine Toll stunning everything, Warrior Execute knocking down enemies etc.
I remember running it on a mage alt and getting the permanent timewarp effect and I was zooming around. It suffered from the devs being worried about people not using it, so they tied a weekly ressource to it, so people HAD to run it to craft legendaries. This just made everyone hate it, since it became a chore.
Aye, the system and feature itself is good… Could be good… They just gotta stop adding massive features and throwing them out constantly, no wonder the game lacks overal content.
