I suspect weāll see Anduin become ālightboundā and turn into a fanatic. Eventually.
I love Anduinās softer nature - and thereās nothing wrong with wanting peace.
I get really tired of savage warfare, which really hasnāt helped anyone.

Bet weāll encounter him in SL, and heāll have a chat with Anduinn.
The irony is, that most people who want Varian Wrynn back want the wrong iteration of Varian Wrynn back. They want the warlike meathead.
Booooring.
Varian Wrynn in MOP was a much more relatable character, and ten times the king that he was when he first rocked up (Which is totally understandable, Kingship, as anything else, is I suppose something you get more used to the longer you do it).
I actually really liked Varianās story arc, from thug-o-tronic gladiator, to thug-o-tronic King who occasionally listens to advice, to absolute God Tier Warrior King who understands how to do āWhat a King must doā and doesnāt need advice anymore, heās giving the adviceā¦and heās right.
By the end, Varian Wrynn was a massively engaging character vastly changed from his fairly naff beginningsā¦
Sadly, Iām pretty sure he is uber goneā¦I doubt he even got to go to the Maw, given the manner of his deathā¦

You canāt have someone go out in such a heroic fashion then just ābring them backā for nostalgia sake, it would be in very bad taste from a story telling POV, in my humble opinion.
Absolutely it would. He died at the pinnacle of his greatness, in an impressive way (I mean, I know I often whinge about the Horde Broken Shores Cinematic just being the same as the Alliance one, but it -was- an excessively well done visual treat of a cinematic). When does King Arthur ādieā? At the battle of Camlann, fighting his son Mordred, at the height of his legend, When did King Leonidas die? At the Battle of Thermopylae leading a small force of 300 Spartiates, (plus helots, a Thespian contingent and a Lesbian contingent if I remember rightly) against the army of Xerxes, the largest and most terrifying force in the world. Cuchullain? Fionn Maccumhaill? Kaiser Barbarossa, Roland
Heroes die at the top of the curve, thatās why we remember their deaths. Know how Robin Hood died? I do, it was fairly dull actually. Complete Anti Climax. Anduin is too bland right now, they need to give him some deeper personality traits.
Iād love to see Varian back in some way in the Shadowlands.

Nope, his son is a disgrace to Alliance, Varian is guilty for having such stupid offspring. We need to get rid of Wrynn family line.
He even makes me dislike being a Paladin. Iād say we get arthas to be the king instead or tyrande or a council.
