Bronze Celebration Token Changes Incoming -- 30 October

On the one hand, this is a great change. On the other hand, it once again shows the the shortfalls of Blizzard for having this goal from the outset but allowing such small numbers of tokens to be obtained. The number of tokens achievable was posted everywhere, so it can’t have been missed or unintended.

You really do need to have a deep dive about your design and implementation as the biggest meme in WoW now is everyone referring to Blizzard as a small indie company.

It’s honestly just sad for a game that is 20 years old that decision makers still don’t understand their player base.

Thank you, pretty much what was asked for. Appreciate it.

Nope. I’m not surprised at all.

How did you manage to release it like that?

Its like you make the same mistake every time.

They said “We’re Listening”, not “We’re Learning”.

I was fine with how it was.
I’m fine with how it’s going to be tomorrow.

I’m glad they increased the amount so soon. It’s a celebration… you don’t celebrate by asking players to grind for weeks because you built it to be a content patch that needs to lasts 3 months. You celebrate by throwing goodies at the players face. Honestly, MoP remix felt more like an anniversary event than the current anniversay event, mostly because they got the reward structure right, even if they also had to make corrections to the currency rates.

Good change - thank you.

It is okay for a celebration event like this to have a relatively easy grind. It is also okay to have really long grinds for ridiculously prestigious stuff (for people to drool over!) during other times.

As in all things, balance is key :smiling_imp:

  • Step 1 : Create a system that initially provides limited currency, with plans to increase it later
  • Step 2 : Players complain
  • Step 3 : “We’re listening to your feedback” – Increase currency as planned
  • Step 4 : “OMG, Blizzard is listening!” – Players
  • Step 5 : back to step 1

Hardly surprising, they already did it with Plunderstorm, Remix…

It’s a good change though! Happy about it.

Except step 4 does not make step 1 go away or any better. You know what they say, you can be the best builder in town all your life, but if you pee your pants once, nobody will remember you for what you’ve built. You will always be that yellow pants guy.

It doesn’t work as well as they think it does, if that is what Big B is doing.

Oh hurrah I no longer have to contemplate losing the will to live and doing PvP!

Thank you very much for this change, I actually feel motivated to do my outdoor content again and that I could in fact get all the ensembles now

I did the av one. Got 500 honor.
Kept fighting for an hour then left.
It took to long for what I could do :grimacing:

Ah yes I did do that one. It was like a two and a half hour battle but we won!!!

Same here. I was in no rush to earn the bronze. One big flaw I find with wow is how the beautiful old zones are abandoned once a new xpac arrives. Having a reason to actually go to and explore Tanaris/coverns of time was great. Now instead of the area being used and visited for a while it’s going to again be a ghost town in a few weeks.

Thanks but you also just killed of timewalking so kinda hard to be happy

its great ! i would love if there was slightly more daily quests XD or add rep token from all expansion for all types to buy for timewalking badges ? :stuck_out_tongue: i wonder if next year there could be shadowlands and BFA 21st Anniversary Event in Ice Crown Citadel !

The only extra you could add is to give us some mobs we can farm to gain bronze as much as we farm.
That’d be nice - just make it instance content tho so people dont get angry with eachother farming/stealing/hoarding mobs.
