I played that. But it wasn’t broken. It relied on Sunbeam+Root/Stun, which can be countered in a lot of ways. Bubble, block, Reverse Magic, Hand of Freedom, Trinket, WW root dispel or outright CCing the Boomkin so he can’t Starsurge for 80% of your HP during silence.
That’s the definition of not fine, hello? Balance is relative. If the other classes are better, then DH is by definition bad.
But why ladder was full of them? R1 setup was DH + boomkin. If it so easy to counter, why everyone pick them? And btw DH and boomkin have 0 synergy aswell.
That comp was just immortal, and had high sustained. And so, since you couldn’t die (at least not as quickly as your opponents) then you won the game with damage. Quite similar to stuff like Arms Ret Disc now. You cannot be killed. Do damage, a lot of it, and… you win !
I know why, DH was least target trying to kill, boomkin aswell. DH with 3 traits of blade dance do insane dmg in ST and AOE/cleave, boomkin the same + boomkin can oneshot, coz of stacked traits. So if oneshot didn’t work - u just AOE and win. People just pick 2 broken classes stack it and its done. It was irony in question.
I dont know about that at all, but like 70% of DHs I encounter does amazing damage. Maybe the problem was like DH was so strong before that anyone could do it right and now only people that really learns to use it. Like rogues after the nerf.
Today my healer companion got hit for 21ks with hunt, LOL
Im watching now the class representation in EU and US above 2400+ and their are like 18 clases under the Havok DH in 2v2 and 15 above. In 3v3 their are 16 above and 19 under.
And we never talk about, but when a class is mostly played its because it can be easier to play, stronger and has recieved more “marketing”.
