That got me thinking that we might get a login to the net itself.
That proves our humanity but it also removes anonymity. At least to those who control the login.

i can picture it now logging in to wow only to find that your character is upset with you also even though you had a bad day at work damn that would be one of the down sides xD
I’m not speaking of UKs screwed up government. I speak about mine (germany) and others that aren’t using it as a reason to censor the internet.
And it’s not a regulation that can be easily enforced, so they’ll have to find different ways to manage the problem. Important is, that the issues is on the attention plate of the states now.
Whenever friends or family call me to get free tech support for “can’t connect to the internet” it’s always either Norton or McAffe that’s blocking connectivity.
It’s not quite that simple, the amount of data and processing power (With added requirements for electricity and cooling) required for AI to do… well, damn near anything is downright insane, not something that you just staple onto existing code and off you go…

Yeah, that was a joke, by the way. They’re not going to complain to you, are they? With the technology available now, it’s possible to have a conversation with your character when you log in and during gameplay. That would be fun!
Something like this could be an optional feature some players would love it, while others might not want to use it. But I’m sure more people would use it than not.
I would think it opens up for the roleplay experience of being in a party of merry adventurers without having to suffer problems and shortcomings of other players but yourself.
Which I think, extendedly, will remind us why we stick together. A bot is a bot, and a human is human, same as me. Existing like that is a shared experience. Which, perhaps, will have us take better care of each other when an alternative exists. Maybe.
They are trying to remove addons , and you are asking for them to give you a bigger crutch .
Also on the role play it would be fun , but I am sure they would ruin it , by giving artificial limitations to it due to PEGI 12 .

Yes, exactly! The world would feel much more immersive, especially if AI were extended to quest givers, NPCs, and enemies. The world could even become dynamic but that’s a topic for another forum post in the future.
