I had a warlock earlier that went in with pve gear, he had no pvp trinket. He was ilvl 709.
He never switched gear.
Outcome? Rogue in full conquest pvp gear goes 0-6.
Warlock gains rating. Because he wasn’t the rogue. Why should he gain rating just because he was present in a lobby where a dps goes 0-6?
You play at the rating you belong in shuffles. No one is stopping your progress but yourself.
Until players realise that, they will not progress.
Both dps and healers make huge mistakes all the way to elite and beyond. Not mentioning that you’re doing any implies that you’re either unaware of the misplays or you refuse to admit any of them. In both cases you are holding yourself back.
I’ve come back after a little break and struggling to get my elite title again. Instead of complaining on the forums I review my gameplay and focus on improving that rather than caring what other players are doing.
The mistakes of everyone else average out, with you and against you. Only your own performance matters over the course of the PvP season.

… No, how are you even 2.2k when you don’t press defensives when they burst. Guy went from 100% to dead within a GCD because he didn’t press and then says the monk is hacking, lmao.
I hate this too. I had this yesterday probably by the same druid , his name started with ” Lil “or something. He is duelist in other characters, but he was playing druid like scripted machine , his honor level about … 13, so probably second account.
However, i believe solo shuffle shows what you really are. In other brackets there must be coordination, when you go above 1.6 people start playing like programmed machines doing all interrupts , cc chains etc.
In solo, it s chaos and it s the only hope for casuals to get some rating.
And there lies the problem with the mode the amount of time you have to invest for the mistakes or unlucky lobbies filled with fotm rerollers takes too long to recover from as the queue times are just ridiculous.
This entire season has been the same with a ret going 5-1 6-0 or a hunter spec doing the same the misplays they are allowed to do exceed what you can do on other classes now say you do have a bad lobby and go 0-6 or dc and lose 150 rating you still have to wait 20 minutes to find a new game sometimes even 30+ minutes.
People need to stop thinking it’s all a skill issue if you have mmr from past expansions it’s easier to climb while not having to play much if your spec is S tier it’s easier to climb you just can’t expect a fire mage who is a legit 2k player to beat a lobby with 3 legit 2k hunter players because sac makes the class useless same you can’t expect a warlock to win a lobby with dk/dh/hunter.
You can if you are lucky do 2 games of shuffle per hour and classes that do well into dampening usually win in the lower brackets the game is just not that deep unfortunately you are wasting your time reviewing your gameplay in a game that is dead with no rewards even coming from elite in the first place.

Ban shadow priests from playing with priest healers.
Guy is dying, I swap him and he swaps me back 0.3 seconds later and dies instantly. I lose mmr because of 3-3 due to the swap. We would have won if he didn’t swap back.
He should get instant -150 mmr the moment he swapped on top of the normal rating loss.
