Can we not have voice actors?

Forgot about the goblins?

The art style?

The click jokes?

Pandaren!

Warcraft have always had a mixture of cartoony and serious.

The dwarves are racist.
Stereotypical cultural appropriation.
With extremely bad voice acting.

Non Scottish people can’t do Scottish accents.
They get the vowels wrong and roll all the wrong R’s

(And don’t give us yer pish about them being dwarf voices and not Scottish ones. They’re clearly supposed to be Scottish)

What is childish about Goblins? They’re nasty, super capitalistic, run cartels, have no sense of moral pride.

There was a huge cry for Gallywix to be removed because he was so upsetting to the Disney folk.

The Classic art style was miles better than the updated reskins we are getting now. Just compare a Gnoll from Classic to now, it’s a disgrace.

I’m sure you’re not a fan of how the races looked before the models got updated.

I don’t see how they’re childish…?
It’s light hearted humor.

Right, an easter egg from the great Samwise Didier turned into an expansion that lost 3 million subscribers. Blizzard learned from their misstake by leaving most of Pandarens on Pandaria atleast.

The story, the lore was always serious, some light hearted moments or comedic times does not disvaluate that.

I really don’t understand this constant need for revisionism on here, it baffles me. Have you even bothered to check out Classic? Most of the Disney folk would cry about the way quest givers remind you of what a noob you are. The Orc quest giver literally laughs in your face about wrestling dragons and choking demons with your bare hands, sending you on a quest to kill a kodo, but instead he sent you to kill some boars first because you’re more useful alive than dead.

Yeah sometimes Warcraft makes fun of itself, but storywise it always attained its seriousness.

This. This so much. Warcraft is serious at heart but knows that a balanced tone requires some light hearted moments. All good worlds do this. Even Dragon Age, a very dark game, had moments of levity and fun. It makes a world feel more real.

But when Warcraft advanced its world and story, it was on roads paved with the skulls of the dead. It had hordes of undead, slaughtering the living, armies of demons, destroying all they touched and warring factions trying to hold them at bay.

Same with Dragon Age, its levity vanished entirely when the game got serious. Hordes of darkspawn, frightened people being mowed down and eaten. People dying of the blight, burning cities and roiling skies.

Modern Wow feels sterile of that. The world created by Metzen and co seems dead. Replaced by a forced-happiness 2022 America funland.

Half the time, I wish that something like the Legion or Scourge would just slaughter all of these weaklings and let only the strong survive.

rated PEGI 12

I would say kids above the age of 12 aren’t children anymore but teenagers my man.

Thir-TEEN. 13 is teenagers, ends up at 17.

But either way, no one is playing WoW for the amazing and complex lore. That’s never been the case, ever. That doesn’t make the game not enjoyable though.

I’m not against better voice acting though, but Blizzard is already cutting corners with the fundamental basics, so I can’t see them hiring better voice acting.

I just found it funny that a game that is literally stating it’s for children and upwards, and calling it childish, is kinda like calling a pineapple a pineapple.

Warcraft started off as a Warhammer clone in the first place, the people who are stating that this was aimed at little children need to take a break and check out some early Warcraft art and then come back.

Orc warlocks putting their own souls in the corpse of rotten human knight’s isn’t exactly this magical friendly fun and magic place you’re trying to describe World of Warcraft with.

If it would be for children it would be pegi rating +3 or +7

And there’s scenarios with humans hung, and Tuskarr corpses in one of the new dungeons being used as training targets. I’m not sure what your point is.

For the love of C’thun, can we stop assuming that this game is made for kids just because that is on the box?

And can we also stop pretending that kids aged 12 have no standards and don’t need quality voice acting and dialogue.

I am so tired of hearing people assume that if something is also for teens, it’s okay if it’s trash. Lets have some frikking standards for all our sakes…

Not sure what you’re talking about champ. Did you not read what I said, or are looking for something to be mad at because you haven’t had your morning coffee.

I was just pointing out that it’s funny when someone calls a game childish, when it literally has a tag on it that shows what age the game has been rated, for children and upwards.

As I already said, the game needs more than just voice acting fixed. It needs to start with the fundamental basics.

That’s because you don’t understand tags:

PEGI 12 - suitable for 12+

This category includes violence towards fantasy characters or non-realistic violence towards human-like characters, sexual innuendo or posturing, mild bad language and/or gambling.

Yeah definately seems aimed towards children eh champ.

See the part you linked - Suitable for 12+

Are you intentionally acting dim witted to roleplay as your avatar?

+12 aren’t children.

Ask this yourself, you’re still implying this game is made for children while it’s +12.

It’s not made for children.

I read what you said and it’s the typical copy pasted response of trying to excuse the horrid current direction the game has taken with a number on the box.

It’s not a kid’s game, it is not meant to be, and if it ever was I wish you good luck trying to sell Disney and gays to a bunch of 90s kids back in the day, see how that works out for you, genius.

Reading comprehension isn’t something you’re capable of mustering. So I’ll leave it at that.

Children aren’t the age of 13, that’s where teen years start.
You’re being obtuse on purpose.

Where did this come from, and what does it have to do with the topic? Lmao.

Stop replying to him, bro. He is a moron. We’ve tried. People like him have no brain and whatever you say, he will just say it’s wrong. Save yourself the headache. You, I and many others know what is going on and it’s a sad thing to see Warcraft hyjacked by a mob that can’t write themselves out of a paper bag.

You didn’t even read what I said, if you did, you’d know I wasn’t disagreeing with you that the voice acting is bad. But here you are, throwing insults and making it personal.

Grow yourself a pair of eyes, learn to read, and grow up.
