Located in London UK, Battle.net app is not loading content despite being logged in, and it does not login at the server after launching the game client. Using hotspot will fix the issue. What is this?
trying to get the game like a 2 hours raid cant start because of me horrible game
Same here in Belgium, cannot login, see the content of the bnet app or download update from others games (ow, hs, etc). Same problem that yesterday around midnight.
Sudden disco yesterday 8/02 in AV could not get back in error 51900328 when it fails to log in to server. Then i fixed it by unstucking my char with the online service.
Now 9/02 i got abit of lag then disco a few seconds later also in AV. Same error 51900328 when i try to log back in. However today i can not access the unstuck service. It also times out in the browser on 4 sparate devices and 3 different internet connections.
I tried logging in on 2 different computers with 3 different internet connections from 3 different providers.
Im in Norway.
Everything else works on all my devices/connections…
I just logged in (turkey)
I got back in now aswell.
could log in now
Looks fixed now
Fixed also for me
If I may. Georgia, Eastern Europe. Urban VPN (free). Changed to Germany. Logged in easily.
@blizzard it would be awesome if you just gave us a short update when these long outages occur. We don’t need much, but at least acknowledgement that this was on your side and not our side. People don’t need to reinstall, reboot and hassle with all sorts. Only place I found anything was on the various third party sites like down detector and such
@BLIZZARD In situations like these, especially during raid nights/hours where people freed up their time in order to raid, is it allowed or not to use VPN? Asking cause apparently in the past some people got banned or had issues with it, would appreciate the answer.
Hi there!
I’m sorry to hear some of you were having login issues over the weekend, though at least it looks to have been resolved swiftly in this case.
We did not record any incidents or problems in Blizzard infrastructure, and this looks to have been a wider carrier issue – though again, glad to see it could be rectified so quickly.
As some have mentioned already a VPN can be a useful tool in situations like this, and while its use is not prohibited by Blizzard, it is technically unsupported and may cause other issues such as a security lock, if you don’t have an authenticator active on your account (which is another great reason why you should!).
I’ll close the thread here to make sure we receive any fresh reports in a new one, and thanks to everyone who helped share details and observations here for the benefit of all!
