The stone usage process seems unintuitive ro at least some people. And I can see why you might expect to be able to upgrade the pet by clicking its entry in your roster list, but that doesn’t work.
Do this, exactly:
- Summon your pet.
- Left-Click your pet to target it.
- Right-click your yellow Flawless Battle-Training Stone.
