Can't create Void Elf - have achievement

So, I completed the achievement to unlock Void elf today. I did the quest and completed the scenario. I got the achievement ingame, it says completed and that I have access to Void Elfs. But when I try to create a new character Void Elfs is not available.

I levelled a character to 50 (and onwards) but was still stuck. However, as soon as I had a total of 30 hours played time on said character, I graduated from “Newcomer chat” and instantly could see the allied races in character creation.

So if all else fails, 30 hours /played time on a character seems to solve this issue.

It’s not an official answer but It could be that one reason you might have this bug is you don’t have 30 hours of playtime on a character yet.

I have 11 characters, with the majoity of them being max level, or close to. So, yeah I probably have a bit more than 30 hours But Blizz system doesnt seem to care, I am still being put in to the newcomer chat.
And today I dinged 30 hours played with my first (newly) character created since Shadowlands launch. And I am still stuck in newcomer chat. And I cant create any alied race.
I made a ticket to blizz, got a reply after like 4 days, saying “yada yada yeah we know of the bug, but we have no idea how to fix it, sorry for that”. Basically.
