I have a problem with the installation of a patch. On December 12th when Tides of vengeance came out i downloaded the patch normally and then i played the game without any problems till the other day (Dec 13) On this morning my client showed me a new patch but much smaller and i waited for it to be downloaded. I am tryimg since then but nothing is installed! The progress bar says “Fetching download mainfest” and when I put the crussor on the bar it says “Installing required files” with big red letters and underneath it says “The game will be ready to play when its essential components are finished downloading and installing”. I have left my PC open ti to this installatiom for 30 hours and nothing happened, it is still on the sme spot: The entire bar is empty and says the words I mentioned before… pls tell me what i can do

Do you use Bitdefender by any chance?
If ur using bitdefender there’s your problem something fishy is going on between the latest blizzard update and bitdefender , I’m still having issues I’ve reinstalled the game twice took off bitdefender and down the wow download in safe mode now it’s back to where I started it just won’t run with bitdefender and blizzard don’t care

Please check if Blizzard related programs and processes are added to the exceptions of your antivirus software.

They are, it doesn’t help unfortunately. Totally unable to patch. My guess would be that it identifies the patch process as ransomware, patcher activity and ransomware have quite a bit in common from a behaviour pattern point of view.
I’ve been totally unable to patch since the pre-patch came out because of it.
How can I chack that?
Depends on which antivirus program you use.
I use windows defender and avast and adaware(dont know what is that)

Have you tried to disable, temporarily, the antivirus program? Just to see if the patching works then?

Ah well that is very interesting, everyone with this issue previously has been using Bitdefender. But you are on Avast.

(remove the spaces, can’t post links properly). The files that would need clearance are the Battle-net executable and Agent.exe, there are two versions of that in ProgramData\Battle-net\Agent\ and ProgramData\Battle-net\Agent\Agent.6525\ – I don’t know if there are any more. (NB. The - in Battle-net is a ., won’t let me post that here either.)
Probably need both the File and Web shields in Avast.

Ah good, so Adaware is the issue rather than Avast! for you.
So far, Bitdefender and Adaware don’t like it.
Can someone help me? I m downloading this patch since yesterday lol It was 9gig I have internet great internet connection but still download so slow. Now I see download something of 215 mb it say it is on 6% before that was some error needed to try again. How much this things have? I m really start to get irritated.
