Oh okay. Well if you’re getting high latency and stutters just try letting it finish the install.
Shouldn’t this be in https://eu.forums.blizzard.com/en/wow/c/off-topic/61…?
Not really, it should work with most distributions that have Lutris and a relatively recent Wine. I’ve helped a friend set it up on Ubuntu recently, it was straightforward - just installing battle.net on Lutris, then installing WoW from the bnet client.
I have some kind of weird lag, I did install all the drivers and did everything by lutris documentation on github
Ran fine on windows, no lag and was smooth.
Can’t seem to get the same effect on Ubuntu.
Maybe it’s because I downloaded World of Warcrsft directly from lutris and not battle net?
Oh that’s strange. What specs do you have ? What is your kernel’s version and what’s the xubuntu version ?
Also, if the game is slow for a bit once you start it, it’s normal it’s just dxvk compiling shaders. After about a min it should be fine.
I should also note, while I’ve always got it running painlessly, there has been a notorious performance difference compared to running from Windows in my cases, which range from not so painful to pretty bad depending on the zone.
Switched that xubuntu off to Ubuntu last version.
My specs are 1050 ti i5 8th Gen, 8 gb ram
Downloaded the latest gpu drivers as well
Probably something with my configuration
The specs are okay. I have pretty much the same, except more RAM.
I’ll try to check stuff up after work to see if there’s some stuff I forgot that could help. Good luck
Same, have to go put my hours in
Thank you Human lok tar
