I would rather choose Cata if i had to choose between the 2 evils you know like choosing the lesser evil of sorts so i don’t understand why you would choose SL classic but i respect your opinion different tastes and all that.
The concept “Classic” ended for me with the base game but I could extend it till Wotlk but not beyond. Cataclysm has changed the game on a scale that I cannot consider it as classic in any shape or form.
But if people would like a fresh Cataclysm server, I don’t mind it.
Ah i don’t like the modern expansions for different reasons it isn’t so much as generational switch it’s the content that got difficult over the years.
M+ and the eSports obsession destroyed the casual gameplay and the community for me it divided ppl you no longer got invited into guilds because you are a good person fun to be around instead you got invited because.
They used you to get their ends met and you got invited on your skill and if you are a professional nobody wanted you as a casual.
If you don’t know why then check Ragnaros kill on Classic before the first reset. Players got better and better at the game.
Legion M+ was really good. And not like it should affect “casual gameplay” as N/HC dungeons were still there and obsolete as always after first week or two of the expansion. WoD had problems with obsolete dungeons and previous expansions had it as well.
And is Classic is any different? There are guild that aren’t obsessed with parses just like on retail but most want to clear a raid in 25 minutes or else.
Euhm.
I’m not particularly against it but definitely an optional per-character basis.
For some awkward reason I wasn’t a fan.
I had a good run during WLK and I felt useless during prepatch.
I was horde and Garrosh broke my attachment.
I didn’t like endgame zone styles very much.
It’s nice for leveling I guess, but there is too much upheaval in the world, which is overfilled. I prefer simple forests and plains with a fair amount of encampments.
However, MoP sounds nice. Jade, Krasarang. Wasn’t a Kun’lai fan initially but then I did watch a movie about the people living up in those mountains.
Also depends on how quick they rush it - and how much I end up playing. BC ending a year early was a bit of a thorn. Right now it looks like I’ve dedicated enough time to enjoy WLK and then move on, but I can’t tell future.
They would… because they are clueless… and have no where else to go after wotlk…
so will try to flog the dead donkey for what it’s worth.
CATA overall wasent that bad though… i think it will surprise people going back to and reliving it… at the time it was painful… but now i think it will be fine.
I had a lot of fun in Cata but I know its because I was in a nice guild and had irl friends that were still playing, so I won’t play it again, also for me classic is vanilla, tbc and wotlk.
