Haven’t we read that line before!
You must not read changes, you must feel them!
New land? #10Characters
I read it as socks too and was like hmmm there must be a sock shortage
.
Well, change is needed.
But I don’t have the faith in Blizz that they know what changes are needed.
I think they are currently devising some great almighty overarching system that will fix everything. They are convinced that this time we will love this system.
don’t worry they will design a system that fixes the previous system then need another system to fix that system
enjoy playing Systemsland
I don’t get the LFR hate , it hasn’t destroyed raiding. Mythic + did and nobody wants mythic + to go.
Everyone I play with doesn’t use LFR , It has it’s place just not for everyone.
I get in the past people felt " forced" to lfr for legendary questlines like mop and wod. But that hasn’t been the case since 2016.
That’s definitely hopium, not copium.
But honestly I don’t think this company could do it. How do you add emotes when you need to add it to dozens of voice actors, most of whom aren’t with the company or maybe even dead?
You’d have to get them generated by an AI not to mention seek the approval of the voice actor - or change the voice actor, of course, that might work.
This would be so much fun in the in-game chat though: https://www.modulate.ai/
You pick a voice that is deliberately set to must be appropriate to your character and then the game has you speak with its voice. x’D
I actually believe this to be true.
After all the feedback Blizz has received over the course of Shadowlands and the community reaction to it, Blizz have no choice but the bring something to the table.
And this probably won’t happen. Sure a couple of things here and there, but the majority of “the things you loved that we removed” will remain removed.
I think the biggest failure of Shadowlands has been all the mandatory grinds which get in the way of players playing the game the way they want to play. I think Blizz have recognised this. There is simply no way they can get away with putting out another Shadowlands.
They have no choice but to simplify things. Less systems, less currencies and less grinds. Of course there will still be one or two systems, but I imagine 1 will be tied to the content you want to do (i.e. M+, Raid, PVP) , and the other will be a general one for overall power… kinda like how upgrading Conduits work for just the high end players, but a lot less rubbish… Blizz, if you are reading this, Conduits and Soulbind were a terrible idea, don’t do it again.
Any other Systems they put in the game, will be cosmetic driven and trust me, there will ALOT of cosmetics. Cosmetic collecting is really what the game is about these days, and the Subs from that alone is what pays for the high end content like Mythic Raids.
I know. In fact it helps justify the resources put into raiding. Back when only 1% of the playerbase did Sunwell there was barely a justification for even having raids.
LFR isn’t really competing with actual raiding. Probably 80% of LFR goers have no intention of ever raiding and the other 20% do it for practise before doing actual raids.
I just wish the queue times could be sorted. I haven’t done LFR for a while and a large part of the reason is the queue times.
Are you sure it wasn’t a bowel movement that you felt?
I feel like we said this in BfA… then Blizz for some weird reason felt that it was appropriate to give us back to back expansions with annoying systems that feel like they get between us and playing the game.
Until we have at least a roadmap, I don’t have any faith to imagine that 10.0 will be better than 9.0. I have no reason to believe they won’t prune out all the QoL features that 9.1.5 introduced and make us ‘earn’ them again.
Starting to feel like WoW really is a game where I should only sub for the .2 patches.
you are certainly more optimistic than me
feels like expansions are in beta until .2 .3 patches.
could not resist sorry.
Oh yeah, WotLK Classic!
Nice Big Fanfic there OP. Alot of that is never gonna happend.
Your just living on Delusional hopes.
Why have some people always had a problem with this?
Now i’ve not played LFR since MoP cloak quest on alts, Since i guild raided in WoD & Legion and then M+ gave better gear, so no reason to ever do it again.
Has something happent with it in recent years?
You missed one that’s very important…
The community needs to come together again.
Oh people want mythic+ to be gone, but at the same time people are very aware that you can’t remove mythic+ without creating the largest shootstorm that has ever been thrown upon the World of Warcraft. Not even the current allegations would get even remotely close to its size.
I personally believe m+ rewarding infinitely farmable high level gear was a mistake to begin with. They should’ve built upon the concept of challenge mode, using a predetermined itemlevel on every piece of gear, so that gear is mostly irrelevant, outside of certain effects, and added the infinitely scaleable concept of m+, with additional levels and affixes.
They could’ve used most things that challenge mode used, such as transmogs, mounts and titles and simply cut the “hey, new content, new grinding Plaguefall / Mists / whatever dungeon you need for your BiS trinket!” part out of it, by making m+ rewards cosmetic and prestige based. Hell, even the weekly vault could’ve been a thing if it rewarded raid loot, rather than dungeon loot.
But that train has long departed and the mistakes from the past can’t be redeemed, thus we’re stuck with the concept of m+ as it is, until the game either dies or the developers are willing to piss off a large part of the community to do something that may or may not be healthy for the game.
