Actually a great idea. 50 euro vs 5 days (120 hours) /played just for grinding levels… and those 5 days /played took me like 30 real days of hard 5 hours daily grinding, its more exhausing than a job itself and it doesn’t even pay. Its a no brainer really. 50 euro is like 1 day of work even in not so rich countries… And its basically 37 euros as I can spend 13 euro sub actually playing instead of leveling whole month. It’s not about having time, it’s about spending your time efficiently and not wasting it on leveling over and over again, they should just introduce boosts and take our money, it’s a win win for both parties. Leveling in classic is a full time job lmao
If you cant afford the time to put in roughly 2-3 hours per level, which would be max 20-30hours since you would be so much afk you would have plenty rested. Then i am sorry, gaming MMORPGS isnt for you.
You are trying to change the game around your issues instead of fixing the problem (you having no time/dont wanna invest the already low amount of time needed).
How is it low amount of time though? It takes about 150 hours to max lvl on average (depending on class), that is 30 days of 5 hours played daily. That is pretty much a full time job, could have made extra 2k euro in that time and pay 50 euro for boost. So yes I dont want to waste time of my life for leveling, I can do it once with my main but I surely aint leveling any alts which is a shame.
Don’t forget the boost is to 70 so there is still a lot of levelling after that.
I love mmos for the social aspect and loved levelling on the launch of classic and loved levelling on the launch of SoM… but at times like this, levelling feels very solitary and I honestly hate it.
I would personally love either additonal boosts, faster XP, RDF for levelling dungeons or SoM v2
Exactly, first time its kinda fun and interesting journey… After that it’s just pain in the a**
I wish they sold character boost as well. But they want you to make another account so you pay 2 subs. That is really the point with 1 per account. Anyone claiming anything else is either lying or trolling.
I know the perfect game for you guys…
Candy Crush Saga?
…No, wait… on second thought’s they complain and complain about the time they had to spend crushing candy.
But the game isn’t a full time job. This is what you have chosen as your entertainment. Something to do when you aren’t working. Are you not entertained? If not, choose a better source of entertainment. This isn’t about what is the most efficient, its about the game. The grind is a natural part of MMOs, tedious monotony for small gains. Elden Ring took about 150-200 hours to do everything in it and finish all the achievements, I didn’t feel like I should get paid for it since it is a fun game.
And if you don’t mind leveling to 80 once then wheres the problem? Done it once, thats your main, get the 1 boost you can get for your alt and you’re done. If you don’t have the time then 1 main and 1 alt is enough for you.
A voice of sanity.
There is no different view unfortunately, this is the game and having one 70 boost is more than enough. If you want to level another character then you’ll have to level it - heirlooms too if you want. I also have less time etc, but the game is still the game.
So then dont level and find another game, again 150 hours to get a max character is an investment, but it also isnt a lot considering you are “done” then.
What will these dad gamers do at max level all of a sudden ? sure naxx is easy next raid tiers wont be as forgiving, so you telling me dad gamers over here can afford multiple hours a week raid nights yet cant sit and level for 1-2 hours a day ?
Sometimes you gotta look in the mirror and realize, that you are the problem, not the other way around.
Most these same people spends hours infront of the tv watching irrelevant sports, shows and other entertainment wasting hours upon hours everyday, but playing a game is more of a waste ofc.
I love how you individuals act like your life is so filled with stuff to do, that you cant afford any time waste anywhere. You arent a billionaire working 100hours a week, you got 9-5 at most and you just dont know how to manage your time and dont want to put any investment into anything.
Well put.
I can play WoW for roughly two hours on weekday mornings, maybe four hours on Saturdays if I’ve nothing else on, and maybe three hours on some Sundays, pending work, as I sometimes have to work on Sundays - and that’s it.
Am I sat here moaning that I ‘don’t have time to level?’ Nope, because I accept that it was my choice to choose to play an MMO, which requires an investment of time. If I truly ‘didn’t have time’ then I’d stick to quick, simple single player games. In other words I’d adapt myself to the nature of the game, not demand that things are the other way around.
Alts are, in many ways, luxury items. If I invest all my time and effort into my main, I shouldn’t expect to be able to invest equal time and effort into alternate characters. This would be like a person who’s hobby is restoring classic cars expecting to work on 10 cars at once, and get them all finished in the same time frame it would take to finish one car. It doesn’t work like that.
Neither was having ten max levelled, fully geared, BIS alts on every account the ‘Original Classic experience’, as one poster put it. Maybe a literal basement dweller with no job, no other commitments, and nothing else to do but play WoW 24/7 might reasonably expect that, but certainly not people like me.
I dont think this type of game is for you.
Yea, yea, you classic andies always have something smart to say. When the fact is 99% of the players with you included don’t enjoy lvling at all. No RDF, no boosts, not even dungeon boosts by friends, lets just enjoy single player questing. I think you are the one who should switch game, go play some single player mmo and let us play multiplayer like we’re supposed to.
Oh, so you presume to speak for 99% of players?
Opinions and ad hominem attacks, that’s all you got.
Guess i am part of the 1% then?
Currently leveled a rogue to 54 and a Shadow priest to 30 just recently and enjoyed both very much.
But that can also be because they were both alliance and i’ve mostly played horde.
So every quest is like new and fresh.
For example i never knew alliance had some quests by the lumber yard in ashenvale.
New discoveries all the time
“The fact is” 99 per cent of players don’t enjoy questing? Only 1% enjoys questing?
OK that’s a bold statement, and expressed as an absolute, undisputable fact. So let’s see you back that up with compiled statistics, figures, surveys, research, official documents and anything else that proves your point beyond all reasonable doubt.
Otherwise I’m just going to assume you pulled that figure out of your backside.
Single player MMO lol, sounds like you think MMO stands for multiplayer.
If you don’t enjoy levelling and just play the game for end game, getting all gear quickly then having nothing to do but level an alt or play something else, then that’s fine, but it sounds like you’re looking to skip the levelling process. That means you need to switch games, as this is what MMOs are, especially Classic. I can only imagine your awe at those Korean MMOs that don’t even have questing and are literally a grind.
