Just dealt with a mw monk in WSG. You can’t do much to stop them or slow them. Double chi torpedo, teleport from tunnel up to the base. The mobility they have now is way to much on top of them also being able to be near unkillable during that period.
Something needs to be done about Monks in flag carrier maps. They have such an advantage.
Monks are built around being mobile.
Of course that gives them an advantage in some areas (FC maps) -just like stealth, slowfalls, knockbacks & CC>flagcaptimes give other classes advantages in other maps.
An (ok-ish) argument can be made about the extra mobility MW has in TWW, but if people are genuinely upset about chi-torpedo or the default monk mobility, especially in the areas it gives them an advantage, then you’re arguing to fundementally reshape what Monk was designed to be.
Doesn’t mean it’s fair that Monks have a major advantage in those maps.

Just like it’s not fair some classes can CC-cap flags.
But unless you want to reduce every class to zero niche advantages, accept that Monks are a mobile class & that gives them an advantage sometimes.
So we should accept that having monks in your team increases your chance of winning by like 90-100%.

Druid is also build around escaping roots and snares + mobility but you see neither of those just zipping across the map in 30 seconds and druid used to be the go to carrier
Blizzard nerfed their mobility for a reason
Monks should get the same treatment, you can not have a spec/class that is just playing a different game while others are just stuck in a wheelchair, either it is everyone can use their whole kit as in unnerfed or everyone needs to be a wheelchair
How it is now is just unbearable
DH is also build around mobility

Can DH no longer fel rush / V.retreat / leap with flag?
Can Druid no longer run flags in travel form / permanent break roots&snares / Dash with flag?

Would be much better if every spec could use their mobility tools, rather than advocate everyone gets reduced to wheelchair spec speed.
I got into a wheelchair comp yesterday against a MW Monk on Horde side in Twin Peaks.
Me as a Warlock and Retri pal decided to just defend a flag. Monk showed up, took a flag, ported and flied from Alliance base right to the other bank of a river.
We did not wait a SECOND, MOUNTED UP and chased right after him, nothing slowed us down, do you know where we caught him? Right in front of their base from the left side.
Monk traveled through the whole map faster than both of us on a mount. We managed to kill him, because he was alone, but they started to defend him the very next spawn and we lost 3-0 like nothing, all the flags carried by this monk. Broken af.
Yep you described it perfect, you can not even catch up on mounts or any class can catch them, Ohh maybe another monk
Yes I would also rather have them just unnerf the classes with mobility, so monk is not the only viable flag carrier

As a druid it is a death sentence to switch forms while carrying to break roots and slows = stun dead, you also need to talent into regular travel form speed and even then It is still nerfed, not 100 on that
And a whole lot other funky stuff that Blizzard never got back to reverting, they always seem to forget what knobs they actually turned

I genuinely think that’s fair & no idea why it’s not the case. But I don’t think it’s a good idea to reduce everyone down to Lock-without-mobility speed, whilst carrying.
Watching monks with flags slowfall chi torpedo from the Alliance side of Twin Peaks and cover 70% of the entire BG map is hilarious.
This is some kinda whacky crap you’d only see in a private server. But here we witnessing it first hand in RATED PvP. What imbecile thought this was okay? Lmao
