Each time I login with my main character:

  • I see the cinematic;
  • receiving new title “Count”, even I had it active it removes from active and comes anew;
  • I have a highlight to use a mining spec points, but there is no avaiable points;
  • it reproduces both on my PC and Mac only for a single char.

I think this started happening to me after I bought TWW. Happens on every character.

Since buying TWW, the intro cinematic plays every single login without exception. I’ve watched it 5 times all the way through. I’ve skipped it 30+ times. it still plays every login, no matter what.

Is there any way to disable or delete it?

After my post was merged into this thread, I tried everything listed here with no impact. Googling more, though, I found a different thread with a solution that did work for me.

in retail/wtf I edited config.yml, changed

SET playIntroMovie “13”

to

SET playIntroMovie “11”

Saved the file, launched wow, skipped the intro yet again, logged all the way in, then camped back out. On relog now, I finally no longer have to see the video.

Sadly I already tried this before as well, and it didn’t work. I think maybe you had a problem with a different cinematic? In any case, I’m glad you solved your issue. Mine still persists, though.

same issue. i feel like the entire movie spoils the story i havent experienced yet in dragonflight because i wanted to enjoy that first before buying the new expansion… this just makes me want to quit instead

i tried this but this seems related to the cinematic that plays upon launching the game, not the cinematic that plays when loading in the character

I too are having the same cinematics every time i log my characters on, I have tried everything but still keep getting the repeated cinematics
Why are Blizzard not doing anything about this bug?

Has there been a resolution to this issue? I have tried everything and still get the cinematic. I am able to get to my characters, but as soon as i choose my character the cinematic starts playing when i enter the game… Blizzard please HELP!!!

Issue is present aswell with me , every max level character is always getting the cinematic when i log in

Thanks for your arcane power scripting skills, this works even on macOS client, solved this really annoying bug. How comes that Blizz needs the help of a lvl 49 Dracthyr? Anyway, big THX!

Have you done pre-tww harbinger quest line? Its seems like doing it fixed cinematic bug for me.

I installed WoW on a fresh new PC (no saved variables or anything WoW-related at all was present in the system before downloading WoW) and this annoying cinematic “greets” me on every login of every high-level character.

P.S.: Thanks, Blizzard, for policing my language and thoughts for using the word “annoying” in my comment.

The list of titles is huge on my side as well.
