Shadowpriest is competing with Augmentation for the last place in overall dps. You are doing a very bad job on balance and mechanics of some specs. Hire game designers, it’s like your accounting department is designing specs. 0 understanding of the game.
aug buff joke honest wont do anyting bring it back from grave
My guess ? They problably upload then weekly logs to chatgpt and then Ask it what it would change
Then during the mid year review they will be able to waste their team leaders time bragging about using ai tools for work
Isn’t this almost net neutral in aoe and single target buff?
First and foremost, great tunning. Now please dont stop. I expect some more tunning next week, and EVERY week untill S3. Please dont stop.
Dont listen to these whiners. Some tunning is better than no tunning at all.
However:
This wont do anything. The shields are still massive.
You need to go further. A decision has to be made: IF shields are to stay, then direct healing needs a massive nerf. And the +125% atonement healing wont cut it. But Flash Heal should also be nerfed as well. OR. Gut shields properly.
I think Oracle Priest needs a re-design and be less dependant on shields. Gut the spec to the ground. DPriests were already meta with Void Weaver. Its not a big deal. OR, buff shields of other specs. Like RShaman, make Ancestral Vigor 50% of someone’s life. Something that can match the shields. And make it 1 talent once again to compensate.
Not enough. Not even close.
First: I wish Ancestors casted Elemental Blast and gave me the haste buffs, but they dont.
Seccond: You gutted ancestor healing by 15% on patch launch so they replicate Healing Wave for your new talent “Whispering Waves” nobody uses. And nobody uses that talent because it can never be properly balanced. It will for ever be trash, or OP beyond crazy.
So just leave it as is but buff Ancestors once again by 15%. And increase the damage RShaman does too. Not Acid Rain (boring) but everything else. By like 30%.
Third: What ancestor builds need is a way to deal with Healing Rain. Allow ancestor builds to reduce its cast time to 1s or less. Or be instant cast.
Fourth: You need to revert the nerfs you did in DF to Resurgence. It made sense in DF because we had almost 70% crit chance. But not now. Revert the change.
Good. Aug is where it belongs. And I hope it stays there for at least 4 seasons.
Im sure you can see the drama with Priests having some OP skill nobody else has… Im sure you dont want yet another spec doing the same. Do we?
not sure why we are buffing balance druid and fire mage…
but im sure they have their reasons i guess
Hello!? Fury Warrior’s almost non-existent AOE needs some serious attention…
Why is it so common that balancing patch notes seem to stop at Warlock changes, and the Warrior class is forgotten?
The current state of Fury is not fine. You might think and say, “We feel that Warriors are in a good place overall,” but hell no — Warriors are not in a good place. No out-of-combat CCs like many other classes have. Warriors don’t help with skips in M+. We have no utility like CR, Hero/BL, or anything close to PI… and especially Fury has almost no AOE damage.
So please, whoever is responsible for Fury — put them to work.
I’m sure you have access to far more data than we do, but if you haven’t looked into it yet, at least check the dps chart on mythicstats(13-19 keys).
That the average Unholy DK damage is higher than top Fury says it all.
11.1 Developer Notes: “We feel that Warriors are in a good place overall.”
You shouldn’t make changes based on feelings. You should make changes based on facts, logs, and actual numbers.
Every class or spec has its time to rule I suppose. Soner or later it will be aug’s turn again. Whenever that thappens in TWW or beyond, I cant say.
Who cares about M+ balance, in the end it’s just to kill some bosses and some trash.
Thank GOD.
Shadow should stay gutted forever.
Hopefully these disc nerfs will remove them from m+ ‘‘meta’’. They are the worst healer for pugging this season. No kick, low damage, die all the time and can’t even press one pain supp on tank in whole key.
Are you kidding?
Warriors are not existent in class tunings.
Check the freaking data from m+, i am struggeling to get +11 premade, because of fury no utility and low aoe (overall dps).
Arms tho performing better at aoe dmg but still no utility, wich leads to getting no invite in +12 and higher…
Event prot warriors are hardly to find in +12 and higher
And based on tunings you it should be by data and facts, not how you are feeling…
Please revert this nerf, this is insane. It is pretty much the only actual useful utility for Vengeance demon hunter. Now the casters will not have enough time to run to you from narnia, and the sigil STILL has 1s activation time.
Comparing to protection paladin:
- Divine toll with avenger shield (3s silence), also instant cast.
- Avenger shield (3s silence ranged kick), also instant cast.
- Rebuke (3s interrupt)
- Divine shield 8s immune to all damage (including magic); veng has meta that just increases health for magic dmg.
- Blessing of Spellwarding 10s immune to spells.
Blizzard, why are you buffing holy priest heals? We all know thats gonna change nothing. We need total rework, not buffs.
Are you stupid or something?
Fire the healer / priest dev.
Is this dev come me from Ubisoft?
All healing done increased by 3%.
You have no respect by trolling us with this eternal running gag meme.
Thx

Don’t get me wrong. I am on the side that wanted to see Fury Warrior, or Warrior in general changed/buffed. In particular I was hoping for to see some help for Fury Warrior AoE in M+ and having its end-talent nodes matter more. A huge buff for Odyn’s Fury, we talking 200%+ more damage. Reap the storm and Thunderblast adjustments, to increase frequency/consistency. Not to mention a much needed 50%+ buff to Bladestorm’s base damage; perhaps a node choice from unhinged that increases its base damage by 100%+, as an AoE choice (that isn’t based on how good your RNG luck is).
Changes that wouldn’t really push Fury ahead on ST or sustained AoE, yet would help it have moments of glory. Fun moments in a key where Fury Warrior looks like it too can do a lot of damage. ST being stronger is the current “moment of glory”, but our lead there is not huge enough to cause any dopamine to flow, nor is it big enough that anyone care to comment on it.
… Sorry, I ranted and went a bit off-road. Gathering myself and putting my annoyance of the situation as a whole aside and addressing the comment…
The no-changes do make sense, if you understand the underlying goals of how Fury is supposed to work at the moment. Again, I am not for this, I have always been vocal against it. Yet many Warriors, especially on Skyhold, who if they are to be believed have contact opportunitets with the devs push this idea:
Fury Warrior should be a flat damage profile, with focus on priority damage. This is the ideal.
Currently, it is very much close to this ideal they pushed for. Fury Warrior damage got no high point and no low point. It is just a steady consistent stream of damage. It does more ST DPS than the AoE specs on priority targets. It “shreds” bosses and does help the group by bringing down priority targets in an efficient manner.
Let us set aside for now the question that is ST vs higher overall value in M+. It is an extremely delicate and complicated topic, as both sides of the coin hold run-changing effects. It often boils down to preference of what one find to be the more fun, than actual gameplay implications.
The no changes makes total logical and rational sense if you see it from the point of view of the ‘flat lovers’ (that also did stop playing Fury Warrior after it was implemented, but hey - that is another thing all together) and seen from a gameplay loop goal and design perspective where this damage profile is intended.
So while the situation feels really bad for those who do not enjoy current flat profile with high priotarget Fury. We just now got to come to accept that this is the set path forward and this is Fury until a change on what Fury should be takes effect.
The changes are sadly based on facts, logs, and actual numbers. The data simply got a total different meaning and purpose based on who is reading them… as different as the goal in mind of the common Fury Warrior player and the Devs enforcing this game playstate (with the flat fury lovers that left)
its time to quit…
Arcane buff lets go
Good changes, keep them coming.
BDK/Brew changes are good but could use more VDH nerfs tbh.
Swinging wildly again.
DK is already a solid tank. the deathbringer buffs are just overkill. san’layn nerfs feels like a random slap. unholy rotational clunk go untouched.
Warrior didn’t get touched. it’s still suffering bad from lack of sustained aoe.
Brew buffs but still not enough. needs other ways to survive
Disc. Finally! The nerfs should’ve happened week 2. Disc was busted AF in raid and M+. These nerfs might be too late to matter since most of the competitive content has been crushed with disc dominance.
Holy priest…more prayer of healing and renew scaling? still doesn’t address the issue of prayer of healing being a crap skill and lightwell not being baseline. and the crap talent tree. and remove the garbage cooldown on renew
less patches & more radical redesigns
also why is aug still being babysat with constant dev notes? just fix it. problem solved.
…“but the prot pally!!!”…
reroll prot pala!
