is there still no lfd in this crap classic server?
Achievement for levelling a character up to max level without dying (and corresponding title) should have been added to retail WoW long time ago, but it hasn’t done yet. Why it was too hard for developers, I can only guess…
But what’s the point then?
The only reason i can see for putting yourself through levelling 1-60 in hardcore mode is bragging rights (Gamers love bragging rights!), but if you don’t have proof or some sort of prize for doing it, why bother?

You know… The lvl 60 character on the HC realm?

World of Warcraft has since always, and hopefully will continue to be in any normal server, been a game where heat only rises. Generally, players enter and will progress more steadily until they are all at endgame. This leads to a few issues, most notably that it’s quite possible that everybody is at end game and levelling is dead.
Hardcore, by constantly resetting progress, takes that same group of players and puts them back to level 1 over and over and over, meaning that unless the server dies the early levels are definitely alive. This in turn means that the early levels are far more social and dynamic.
Because players will seek all advantages they can get to not die, players will put massive emphasis on buffs and flasks and other things like that, giving early game professions a positive kick as well.
Essentially, from what I could tell on the old hardcore mode, I was quite surprised to find WoW working more like WoW should than ever before precisely because of permadeath - a mechanic that shouldn’t be in the game in my opinion. I find this extremely interesting and strange and I’m not planning to play it much for fear of losing my character, but for what it’s worth, I can definitely see why a hardcore realm should be a thing. It is indeed a new way to play WoW, particularly its early game.
maybe im weird i have had zero interest in touching classic again but this hardcore thing i feel somewhat tempted to try and see if i can make it

Blizzard could have introduced non-deadly PvP like the sport tournaments in real life: the winner is who first damaged the opponent up to 10% of initial health. Any alchemy potions and other similar remedies and buffs are not allowed. It would be much more fair and interesting than current duels to the death.
