Collector bounty buff = bad long term impact

It is pixels nothing more.

There’s been people that have been farming some mounts for many many years without results. For example the blue proto drake I’ve had thousands of kills on during the years, I tried getting it since WOLK and it never dropped. I got it first day of the event within 5 kills. I feel relief I’m finally getting some mounts I’ve put so much time in. I can imagine more people feel this way. I don’t get why so many people are against this event.

I had all the mounts pre event so its bad for me but great for mogs but i am so happy others can now get the mounts i have it is just pixels end of the day.

Drop chance mounts are no journey in any shape or form.

Sounds like you need to step away from the computer more often and experience the real world!

It’s a pixel, it has no value, it has no importance in your life, unless you’re on a weird dating website, and you use “hey I have a really rare mount drop before the collector bounty event was started!”.

I hope they do this collector’s bounty again in the future. It drives engagement and also makes people return to the game and may finally decide to keep playing after their sub runs out.

Go buy yourself a dog or a cat, as you really need the company!

Sorry but there is no integrity of long term rewards.

The mounts were prestigious only when they were current content. By the time they become easily soloable, it is just rng to get it, which just removes any prestige.

I appreciate all the replies. I recently came from a 1 year break from WoW and thanks I got 2 dogs and a cat, do you have any pets?
Hope you guys enjoy the content , take care!

There is nothing hard way in 1shoting 10 years old raid 5000 times.

Only time the cool mount really matters, is when it is current content, ie hardmode or last mythic boss.
There should be no less than 1% chance on anything, it is perfectly fine to finish the patch / expansion.

I see this argument a lot in the replies. If that is the case, then why werent EVERYONE who are farming them now, farming them before ? Because its effort. It doesn’t matter if its high skill level effort or low skill level, because at the end of the day, is time invested in the game for rewards.
The same people arguing this are the ones writing esseys opposing the general player base access to high end gear because they don’t put in the “work”.

who said people didnt farm them before this event?

so EVERYONE who is farming them on a buff, farmed them before the buff?

i’m not saying everyone did it but there are players that did farm them before this event.
and not everyone is farming with the buff either.

The point is, not everyone who is farming it with the buff, farmed them before. Because it meant putting effort into something more difficult to get. Because effort doesnt equal high skill content. Effort in a video game is basically time spent.

and you do realise that people have full time jobs and family to take care of aswell?

Ok…and kids are starving in Africa.

just because you dont have a life others have and real life ALWAYS comes first o maybe you should go out and touch some grass.

I just came back to WoW from a one year break. I touched a lot of grass trust me
Why are forum people so aggresive always attacking, never able to argue a case without personal insults? Is this the cesspit of WoW?

you are the one being aggresive here so maybe you should just stop being that agressive and stop blaming everyone else foor it?
this is a game and games are ment to be fun playing but you make it sound like it is a lifestyle and whining about this event.

Can you quote me when I was aggresive? Thanks
