Community full of fotm rerollers and meta slaves

As usual there are metas, in season 1 it was Aug + Ench Sham, and Pala Tank, now it’s DH and Mage and dk. It will change next season

I wouldn’t have to suffer a FOTM class, which I dislike (vDH), if Blizzard could actually even the tank playing field better.

But after years of coping and trying to make BrM work I just couldn’t put my group through any more of that (clearly hated) spec.

I still run other tanks but I’d be stupid to deny the prowess behind the FOTM tank spec each season. I’m just glad we moved away from prot pal bc heck no! :joy:

It won’t help as much. The highest-end keys would still be doable by a specific meta, and people who care about the score would still flock to the meta.

The only solutions are to either remove the infinite scaling and cap the challenge, or to outright remove the concept of classes and have exactly 1 type of tank, 1 type of healer and 1 type of damage dealer. But that’s against the concept of M+ and the game in the first place. Therefore it’s an unsolvable problem.

Oh that sounds bad

And its hard to care now.

With the difficulty being infinitely scaling there will always be a breaking point where 1 class or role outshines all the others often times over a gimmick that handles the scaling really well.

Honestly if you are at the point of 19-20 you are competative enough that rerolling for better results shouldnt be a suprise, hell if you fully realize the implications of an infinitely scaling system, it should even be expected that you hit a point where thats the only way to get more performance out of your own gameplay.

I think as long as they’re balanced up until there are rewards (13ish I think?) they’re doing a good job.

I mean…for really really high keys like the ones you mentioned it’s always going to be a meta fest because you need the strongest there to be able to push further, on lower keys you have a point as pretty much any class can push to +10s.

PvP being unbalanced is nothing new.

So a TL:DR - OP is whining cause people in super high, 0.1% range keys are being very picky?

1st world problems…

this is starting to sound like Erevien. instead of alliance bias is “everything else bias but rsham”

u literally describe the gamer
nothing to be done about this i fear

Blame the players. Not the game.

It seems you didnt red my proposition

I blame both

Dont forget weirdos like me that prefers rolling to the weaker class, like when i changed from fire mage to destro lock the last patch of BFA :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

Tbh if there is modes which only purpose or means to gain something are gaining rating or its competitive, and the balancing between classes is horrendous or there is some other factors in the system and designs the creators of game have made (dps gaining more rating in shuffles than healers) which make it somehow unfair between classes, then the fault falls mainly on the creators end. I dont blame people playing dps when most ppl know healer mmr is more deflated (gain less rating) and the 6 round design of shuffles are worse for healer than dps. I blame blizzard for creating this system.

If we have buffet set which has sandwiches for breakfast and put a sign that says “take one” and some ppl take 5 and the rest dont get none, then the fault is on the one who organized the buffet and where in charge of how its set up. It should be his job to make sure everyone have equal amount of said breakfast and fair playfield for something they have paid for or his not doing his job very well or just doesnt care, whichever the case his not doing his job well if there becomes issues with the systems he has set in place.

Both are to blame but the one who has most power to make changes is the one who creates the designs of the systems. As for even the people who would not fotm roll there will be people who will fotm roll and the only way to affect most on fotm rolling would be more frequent and better tuning. So the only way to make real change on fotm rolling or ppl playing the best possible option for something competitive, is essentially just better tuning and more frequent tuning.

Ps. Buff Warlock, thanks.

100%.

This is the #1 reason i quit PvP. And i wish blizzard would reform this.

If they do, PvP would be my main game mode instead of M+.

You yourself are a player does that mean you blame yourself as well?

In this case it’s probably more players than the game, because wow classes are so complicated, and the playerbase is kinda small. There is 0% chance that the PvP meta has been figured out and set in stone. That’s why I hate tier lists for a game like this, because I don’t think any tier list maker has any understanding other than seeing leaderboards, and leaderboards are usually more of a reflection of what the best players are playing rather than what is the strongest, as those are in the 100s

Why would i blame myself,am not the one that fotm reroll and meta slave …

That deep into the season its known.Holy Priests/Holy Paladins and Resto druids arent over 2.8-2.9 just because the players that like to play them are that good, meanwhile the players that like to play Rsham are 2.4 at best

Every class has like 40 abilities pvp-specced, and not many people play PvP. There are around 240 abilities in a 3v3 game with additional passives, etc. There is 0% chance imo based on my pvp experience from many different games that the meta has been figured out even so long into a season. It’s more player perception, because maybe the best 20 healers just decided what is meta and play that.

I think they should just keep doing perfomative balance patches that don’t change anything just to show how suddenly something is S tier, even if it barely got changed

in my eyes pugging keys like +19 rather then doing it in fully premade guild team is pure insanity

hell even doing like +13 or +14 without premade must be ultra miserable experiene regardless if done on meta spec or not

but if people enjoy this ? more power to them .
