Thank you all for your responses ^^ Just to be sure, I dissected the network connections of the wow.exe application since it was the only one with network access. I found unusual IP addresses that led to Google’s analytical servers, so I closed the ports and blocked those network flows. It’s really strange how Google and Microsoft can get into places. All of this gave me the idea to create a troll software package focused on the most commonly played games and operating systems, just to program timed and conditional trolling… unfortunately, I’m not the kind of person who takes joy in malicious activities.
Video game: has a bug
Orichiday: “GMs CLEARLY are sabotaging my experience!”
(Please don’t hurt me for that joke :d )
Too late, he was the GM all along… all your files belong to him now.
Oh crap! Conspiracies are true!
Wait. Say what??
Hm. I see four IPs that WoW.exe is talking to, two registered to Blizzard,
37.244.58.43
24.105.29.76
and two to Google
34.117.122.6
34.91.183.184
Usually these things are harmless, and I’m too tired to check it out further tonight. Not sure why this is happening, but a little surprised that Blizzard would farm anything out to the Google cloud, since they have their own.
Ah, makes sense. Thank you!
I’m getting ‘Secrets of Azeroth’ vibes here!
Who needs an ingame event, right?
GM activity where U can report a bot nothing happens !!!
Yes, I am the boss of said GMs.
We monitor your gameplay dear OP, and we modify your UI to our liking.
We also monitor your real life activity through our stealth rogues in your room.
Sincerely,
GM Boss
What’s GM activity…?
I always suspected Cicada 3301 is not gone
You’d be better off using google translate for that. ChatGPT will get creative if you haven’t given it as much information as it thinks it needs to work with.
It sounds like you might be hitting the os macro for swapping between different keyboard layouts.
