Constructive feedback: ideas for paladins for Phase 4 (all specs)

If you had taken the time to read the OP and if you actually knew more than zero about paladins you’d realize his suggestions are all related to runes that are not being used whatsoever.
I doubt that buffing runes that have 0% use would make paladin OP.

That will only make them half as good as a keyturning shaman tho

I would add a flat cd reduction on Holy Shock on that rune (or another). Holy Shock not being a rune means it’s base damage/heal is simply bad, all the more for a 31 talent and the 30 second cd makes it too unreliable. It should drop to 15 seconds flat so even if it doesn’t crit it can be added to a rotation. As for shockadin, the damage could be buffed since choosing that rune makes us loose around 200 sp from Sheath of Light and its cd makes it irrelevant compared to Exorcism.

I don’t play heal on my paladin so I won’t comment on the next 3 runes but just to say that holy could use an instant heal (or a more viable and reliable version of Holy Shock) and a form of AoE heal which, as it has been pointed out on this thread, should be coming for P4.

Improved Sanctuary: Increases the damage prevented by your Blessing of Sanctuary by 200% (was 100), and increases damage done by your Blessing of Sanctuary by 30% of your shield block value. In addition, increases the block chance of your Holy Shield spell by 3 %, increases its damage dealt by 50 % and adds 1 extra charge.

I’m no expert on mitigation calculation to know how good/bad it would be. I just know that atm the mitigation it provides is meaningless, maybe it will prove more relevant once we hit lvl 60 and have access to more mitigation gear.

We will certainly end up receiving something like this as the “wings” are an iconic spell for paladin but I’d like to see something different for a version of the game that is about trying new things. Also adressing the PvP aspect of it, it would be nice to have something else than a dispellable buff.

Won’t change a thing, in PvP you won’t sacrifice Sheath of Light for a kick. Exorcism is our main damage ability, the devs made our gameplay rotate around it so they should simply make it baseline. This would allow us to play either Rebuke, Avenger’s Shield or Inspiration Exemplar. I tried different approach to get rid of Exorcism but it’s just too good to pass, be it as ret or shockadin. I really enjoyed playing Avenger’s Shield in P1 with a swap macro weapon, I’d like to have that possibility.

Divine Storm needs a buff for sure. Either make it deal holy damage like they did for Crusader Strike or buff its base damage.

I dont believe Paladins need more defensives and heals…They already tanky enough and 15sec bubble is just broken.
Plus palas cry about mobility but from what i see rets just blast you from afar and freedom out of any root.
Wings is a good adition cause it has drawbacks and maybe a kick is good also, anything else is just too broken. Paladins in ab just use bubble and go to enemy backline and burst ppl with no counterplay. Is kinda bad.
At this point anything that u add to rets it has to have a draw back.

Or maybe you guys want a change of playstyle for example lets say all melee skills but i dont think you will like it much vs hunters and mages
