Hello everyone!
I have thought about the Cosmology chart a lot ever since it was released and, from recent interviews and from blizzcon, we know its importance to the future and that the chart we have now is from the titans perspective and thus, is incomplete.
So, there are 6 main forces: Holy, Shadow, Life, Death, Order and Disorder. We also know that Holy is associated with the Light, Shadow is associated with the void, life with nature and the cycles of the Sun and Moon, Death with necromancy, Order with the Arcane and Disorder with fel.
If you look closely at the diagram you also see that the Titans (in the order/arcane section), the Burning Legion (in the disorder/fel section), the Naaru (in the Holy section), the Old Gods (in the void section), the wild gods (in the life section) and the undead (in the death section) are all placed in the same “position”. We also know that the Old Gods are but minions of the Void Lords and thus, there are entities above them, that I think are safe to assume are the “Paragons” of the Void. This means this could apply to the other sections as well. What if there are “Paragons” of each kind of energy? This could explain for example The Jailer and the Arbiter… They precede the titans and are extremely powerful. What if they are the equivalent to the Void Lords but instead of the Void, they are the “Paragons” of Death? Perhaps Elune is the paragon of Light and the “true throne of power” that Azshara claims she is going after is the place of “Paragon” of the Arcane as the beings most connected to this energy are the titans and they are locked at the moment.
Of course this brings many questions as well:
-What is the Dark side of the moon? But we know the Naaru are beings of light and they have shown themselves to be able to fall into the void.
-If each energy has a “Paragon” and Elune is the paragon of light, the Void Lords the “Paragons” of the void and The Jailer and the Arbiter the “Paragons” of Death, who are the remaining Paragons?
-How would you explain the fact that Eonar, a titan, connected deeply to the arcane wields nature magic? Well, the titans are not the “Paragons” as they have a similar position to the Wild Gods and Old Gods so they are free to use other kinds of magic…
What do you think of this? It is but a thought, but I found it interesting hehe!
