My guy has hair that reaches his chest, but as soon as he puts any kind of hat or hood suddently his hair is gone. Quite weird, and worthless to care about the hairstyle too…

Tell me about it, I have been asking hoods that allow hair to be shown for a long time. It’s kinda disappointing for players, NPCs have it since they have pre-rendered models and they don’t need to change their gear dynamically like us.
Apparently, it looks like too much work for devs right now or just not on their priority list. I still have my hopes up for it though. If it happens I can finally complete my Valeera Sanguinar transmog properly.

Reason i never use any helmet or hood in WoW. In FFXIV i can since the hair won’t get removed
Same for me, at least when I play with female characters. I like using crowns with some transmogs though, since it will not remove the hair.
