Dear elitist jerks developers!

Glad to know you have had good experiences, hope that keeps up for you
I’ve seen enough of the ugly personally to even want to risk getting a good one
It’s been some months if not years tho for me, hopefully it course corrected itself

If there was more accountability for being horrible people would do it less, but I’m not sure how that would work, I don’t think you can ban people for being rude and it’s probably not ban worthy anyway, but if there was some kind of incentive for people to be decent to each other then that would be the best thing

Even BFA have much more casual content in the middle of expansion - islands with cosmetic rewards, Nazjatar with OWPvP fun - where was ilvl scaling and everyone can join into fun and mechagon. Now what? Tower with few recolored shoulders? Korthia with 3 recolored mounts?..

I would love more solo content as well. :slightly_smiling_face:

The WoW community is incredibly “anti casual”, and elitist players don’t realize that they are shooting themselves in the foot by oppressing “casual friendly content”…

As I see it, elitist players are the reason why WoW is as bad as it currently is. Blizz “just did what players asked for”…

And before elitists starts bombarding me with toxicity, or immature comments only meant to bully (like I see people have done further up this thread), let me explain what I mean.

Elitist players in WoW are incredibly hypocritical. They HATE casual friendly content and goes out of their way to bully players on the WoW forums if they ask for it (this thread is a perfect example of it), yet these SAME players rage out on Blizz for not giving us “more content”…

Just take LFR as an example… LFR does NO HARM what so ever against “elitist players”, and it does NOTHING to hurt their raid progression. And yet, they HATE LFR WITH A PASSION! :fire: Only because it was created for people who play WoW at a more casual level. :man_shrugging: Casual players who do LFR are NEVER gonna be a threat to elitist players in a competitive environment, so why care about it??

It is literally the mindset of “wanting to hurt other peoples fun JUST because YOU don’t wanna play it”… It’s a complete lack of empathy to think like this, and it ruins the game for everyone.

The existance of casual players are LITERALLY the reason we actually get nice things from time to time like Suramar, unlockable Legion artifact skins, Mage tower challenges, incredibly looking TMOGs, challenge modes… You know… content that is fun even AFTER the expansion ends, and not just from patch to patch. :fire: :rainbow: :slightly_smiling_face: And yet, elitists are SO AFRIAD that “casuals take over WoW”, that they go out of their way to deny causual friendly content.

It’s almost like… Elitist players ACTUALLY believe that casual content will hurt their “elitist content”.

The only thing that “gets hurt by adding casual content”, is the convoluted gearing systems that the ENTIRE community hates with a passion. :point_left:

WoW has become a place where “elititsts” are the ones that gets their way, and we ONLY get content that exists for the sake of pleasing elititsts and their obsession with gear progression…

At the moment, 90% of our end-game content is centered around gear progession… Do we get more FUN content like unlockable appearences, or player housing, or challenge modes…? You know… “Casual friendly content”… NOPE!

They give is EXACTLY what elitist players have been wanting this whole time! Expansions that are completely focused around gear progression. Like BFAs azerite armor and Shadowlands conduit/covenant system.

It is the INSANE fixation on gear progression, that is responsible for us getting boring automated systems like invasions, azerite, corruption, AND currently Korthia… Which is all meant to add a EXTRA needless layer to “improve our gear”. On top of that we get convoluted gear based systems like azerite armor and conduits, which AGAIN is given to us because “elitist players want more gear progression based content”.

The annoying focus Blizz has had on convoluted gear systems in BFA and Shadowlands, are caused by elitist players and their dislike of “casual friendly content”.

90% of current end-game content consists of dungeons, raids, PvP, which ALL REQUIRE a group of players, or it consists of “gear preparation” type content. You know what I talk about… Invasions, azerite, corruption or now… Korthia. Which is infamously hated throughout the WoW community for being the negative unrewarding type of grind which is just put in the game as busy work to give the illusion of content.

Because god forbid we get content that is relaxing and fun to do, which doesn’t involve pushing keys, ratings, scores, in general anything that can be used as an outlet for toxicity…

I would love more casual friendly content. :slightly_smiling_face:

I would love for Blizz to just remove the restrictions on “5 man dungeons”, so it scales in difficulty between 1-5 players. Even if it meant the gear from < 5 man dungeon runs dropped gear with 10 ilvl lower than “full 5 man groups”, I would STILL prefer doing keys solo! :point_left: :muscle:

That way my wife and I (who primarily just play together) would have the option to play without involving strangers. It would also open up the possibility for us to have a blast dungeneering JUST to enjoy the game and have fun!

Or more focus on rewards and fun challenging ways to achieve them. :slightly_smiling_face: The way we unlocked new appearances in Legion was FUN! :love_you_gesture:

The way we unlock content in Shadowlands is BORING… There is NO challenge in it, which is why it is the “bad type of grind”… You just need to log in daily and do repetitive WQs…   I hate when players use the excuse “if you don’t like grinding, then you shouldn’t play MMOs … I will immediately just assume people like that :point_left: don’t have the intelligence to have any input what so ever, since they can’t tell the difference in a challenging rewarding grind vs. an easy boring grind.

Even Torghast which had INCREDIBLE potential for solo players! Was turned into a boring mess we now call “Choreghast”… And WHY did Torghast fail? Because they turned it into a gearing mechanic, instead of making it a optional challenge mode with loads of optional unlockables…

Either way, I think I lost focus writing all of this… hehe :joy: My main point is that casual content would only benefit everyone. And that if elitist players stopped being so “anti casual”, we would have had a MUCH more fun game today.

I think that accountability is the way to deal with bad behaviour, to do this, I suggest enabling a replay of dungeons and instances, a bit like in overwatch where you can type in a code and watch a game and pause it and look at it from different angles, this would include party chat, so if someone was being horrible it would be possible to expose them so they would be less likely to do it, an added bonus is that it would help people to learn the dungeons without being there and for people to recognise their mistakes by watching themselves play.

consider switching your videogame honestly

I will not switch video game.
The mistakes which has been made are gamebreaking for the game and either will be fixed or game be in maintenance mode.
So there is no point for me to leave, i will just sit and wait. And enjoy the show.

All that catering to elitist with their pathetic cringy demands to:

  1. reduce loot drops, cause they felt dirty jealous about casuals and alts have some relevant gear progression.
  2. cries how they are forced to afk through warfronts, meanwhile not helping anyone to complete it faster but still feel entitled for heroic piece.
  3. remove forging cause they didt feel completed with their character ( like they are full bis gear now lol, great vault of wrists says hello )
  4. making m+ harder, adding punishing affixes. Reducing ilvl rewards. Increasing the requirement for max reward.
  5. being absolutely toxic to anyone who brought these issues during BfA when it all could be fixed with they very personal remarks. That attitude was enabled by blizzard and still is.
  6. preaching how alts should do the same amount of work as mains or they wont felt special with their 1 character.
  7. ridiculing any requests for the development of casual content cause they needed to flex how above this content their boosted egoes are.

Blizzard actually listened to these 1% clowns cause only their me me me message was heard and blizzard lost its players, killed their own game.

I wont leave the game now when i will get to read the juicy cries of this group, cause blizzard will be fixing its game and its incompatible with elitists being happy. There is no going back here.

1.)I do not think that I have ever heard anyone in my group or guild say that there were too many loot drops. I do recall people complaining that there were complains for specific systems (like benthics during BFA) invalidating heroic gear and being on equal power to mythic gear.

2.)That is a general personality problem. I encountered people from all levels of play who did this (mind you this predominantly happened in normal warfronts, because you had to manually gather a raid group and queue in like that for heroic.)

3.)RNG lottery has no place in gear ilvl. It is good that it is gone so we have a clear guideline on where we can get specific gear itemlevels. Random tertiary stats and random sockets are already bad enough.

4.)They only added two affixes, both of which punishes healers/melee without situational awareness. One was buggy and was fixed, while the other was nerfed so much that it isn’t really an issue now. What other punishing affixes are there? The rest was already there, and it is the dungeons themselves that make specific affixes terrible to overcome.

M+ gear stops three itemlevels below heroic, and you can even upgrade it to gear that is better than heroic gear. The only issue I see with this system is the low amount of loot drops, and how expensive it can be to upgrade gear due to the weekly valor cap.

5.)BFA’s issues were highlighted during beta by the very same people you are bashing though, and not just by them: Many of the more casual players who paid attention highlighted some of BFA’s glaring issues. We instead got the “oh but it is only beta guys, it will be fixed, stop whining” lines over and over, and when that did not happen people opted to the all famous “why didn’t you raise it during beta then if it is an issue?” which always conveniently happened after the beta section of the forum was purged.

6.)So far I have only heard the casual playerbase, late heroic/early mythic tryhard people preach that ‘alts should never be on par with mains.’ Those who push for the high end have atleast 3 characters which they keep up to date in case they need to swap to another class that is more suited for a specific boss encounter, so why would they ask for something they already complain about to happen to everyone else? That doesn’t make sense.

7.)Those who are indeed playing at high end don’t give two craps about the forums. Their goal is to progress through the raid as far as possible, not to spend days on the forums whining about not adding content that they will likely not participate in anyway (many do however, because people do other things in this game than the big three, even at the high end.)

If Blizzard would indeed listen to the top 1% then the game wouldn’t be so restricting to alts, they wouldn’t reduce gear progression to slow down raid progression, or create a convoluted system which they could have easily added as a cosmetic option, but of course they instead attached power to it, which again people voiced their concerns about.

Blizzard listens to their statistics only, sorry to burst your conspiracy theory bubble there.

the day blizzard give casuals anything besides hair colours and eye colours…

will be the day the world ends.

look up the topics with key words if you are new here:
too much loot m+ nerf

this attitude was popularised by competitive players
also was self evident in bfa, are you new here?

great vault is rng lotery

melee got yeeted out of s1 sl, rewards nerfed over the span of BfA. M+10 gave best chest item with tf option in s1 bfa.

BfA issues… i had no issues with mythic raiders spamming 1000 islands cause they are minmaxers. for me there was no such issue
I was however affected by their warfront crusifiction and cut content

its nice that you have different experiences, but people who gatekeep casuals and alts arent casuals.

there is no conspiracy: blizz made casual experinece insufferable they left
and you give yourself too much credit if there was one anyway

You’re suggesting the majority of WoW’s playerbase should go play something else?
Good plan Einstein!

M+ players aren’t high end players (those who are on the forums raging about it that is.) Those who complain about too much loot from M+ were from late heroic/early mythic level players. They are not the 1% you keep mentioning.

The top 1% barely if ever goes into content like LFR or normal warfronts. If they did they did it in groups. Again, you are talking about a completely different set of people.

Great vault is, but one layer of RNG is already enough. We do not need 2 additional layers on top of it “oh, will it be the item I want AND will it titanforge?”

Melee was top in M+ in first three season of BFA (double rogue meta anyone?) and we didn’t have that big of a power spike in S1, which is why it was tuned for levels around key level 10. Ranged had little chance to do Shrine of the Storms because of the insane amount of interrupts required for it, which favored melee once again.

Content for BFA was cut because Blizzard flopped with the Azerite armor system, so they had to rebuild a completely new system (essences in 8.2) to salvage the expansion. It had nothing to do with mythic raiders, but rather because of a system that was so bad it had to be mended somehow.

People who gatekeep casuals aren’t in the 1% either. They do not interract with people on the forums because they are busy doing their own thing.

I still remember those rage filled comments coming from the general playerbase when during one of BFA’s WFR some of the raiders said they do not care about the lore. People were asking for them to be permabanned from the game because they do not like the lore.

There are lunatics in both camps, but the group that is inbetween have more of them, since it contains more of the general population.

Having no casual content is entirely different to catering to the 1% however. There are many raiders who like to do casual content on top of raiding. They were negatively affected as well.

Us elitists care more about the community then the wealth of some american company

Loooooooooool.

Seriously i really hope this is sarcasm.

that is why you use addons like raider io which cut out a large portion of the community progressing to a standard good enough in the elitist opinion to be worthy of group invite?

not attacking you personally ofc… but the elitist mindset in general … they are so for the community in their elitist beliefs that they cannot see the critical damage they deal to the game :stuck_out_tongue:

and people wonder why the EU forums are ignored

Blizzard would try to please Amerika or Asia first, we are the extra to their wealth but the first they would sacrifise

considering that regardless of what change they make to this game the forums here are just filled with toxic idiots consistantly blaming them for everything and telling them they suck at their jobs i would ignore it too. at least on some of the other forums you see posts that have some reasonable discussions that dont just turn into a couple of people arguing all the time. which is how like 99% of the posts on here end up going

don’t mention asia around here every time someone mentions it blizzard start development on another mobile title.
