Im currently playing a warrior so i eat warlocks, wrecking throw on pact just makes it about as appealing as DK´s deathpact since it resaults in a net negative where they just lose health to cast it.
One thing i´ve noticed is that locks top damage source tends to be observer in alot of the games they´re in. The coding overall for damage seems to be having a stroke. DH´s fel lance scaling with their mastery resaulting in “10% HP” being able to 4 shot you n other crap like that.
Fundamentally i think one massive issue we´re seeing atm thats causing damage to be both rng and bursty as hell is trinkets and enchantments in combination with the new trinket set bonus that blizz someone how % based, and a very high % aswell causing weird things to happen when you proc primary stat increases that resaults in absurdly high main stat increases. Although i appreciate PvP trinkets being BIS for PvP, its clear it should´ve been a flat number to avoid this situation where things scale up to shocking levels.
No, they afk in the center of the arena, you rush them and nuke half of their hp, then they port away with freedom-sprint. 20 seconds later you try it again but their port is back up again thanks to the honour talent
This comment doesn’t make any sense, because just as an example giving precog to an SP/Boomy/Ele/Mage just as an example does not mean you’re dead, this should bring you to the obvious conclusion that it is infact destro lock thats beyond broken and not as you put it ‘a product of melee mobility’
First it was Demo and now it’s Destro and Warlock players are still defending the class, it’s absurd
You don’t get it - they need precog + 50k dps and the potential to 100-0 someone in <2 seconds of freecasting, because a melee might kick their immolate and then they’re stuck only being able to cast useless spells like fear and port and -100% crit chance and havoc for an entire 3 seconds (2 if its a shaman that kicked them)
Destru is overtuned but not broken (mechanically superior like Ret dispeling everything with no effort at all). It needs some damage tuning and it scales great with stamina. Dark Pact scaled insanely well. Also Observer has too short CD imo. I don’t mind it’s damage as you can kill it or line it but it’s current CD is a bit too much.
It’s interesting how everyone thought that Crit nerf would hurt Destru when it was the strongest with 150% Crit modifier usually. I find it also interesting how Shadow used too many instants so it required rework while other casters like Destru, Ele, Boomy, Fire, Frost actually use the same amount of them. Not to mention BM who doesn’t “cast” anything.
I mean precog void torrent is pretty nutty. Boomy is definitely pumping rn, ele is definitely pumping rn. Destro needs observer + sburn nerfed, maybe a lil incinerate one and then buff chaos bolt or something.
Just had a lovely Shuffle after a mere 33 minutes. Blade’s Edge. The destro does not give a damn about anything, just standing in the middle, throwing out a Observer once in a while, not juking anything, just sitting there facetanking it all with his 700k hp.
Needless to say he went 6-0 because whenever we showed our faces from the pillar we were dropping instantly. Cool.
Depending on the degree of which they are overtuned, it becomes broken. And destro is, without any doubt broken currently. They are very tanky, have great cc and not only crazy sustained which are mostly instant casts and dots, but also burst spikes if they can free cast or faked or got interrupted on the wrong school.
There are some other specs that are doing great like Arms, Moonkin, Enha, Ele and maybe a few other, but none of those are in the league of destro.
Rage? Where do you see any rage? I just found it fascinating of how delusional you were in this topic. So either you are playing a destro or playing with a destro, am I correct?
I agree with this but term broken means that something is mechanically overpowered like Ret dispelling literally everything with Judgement. This was broken. Destru is overtuned. After some numbers tunings it will be fine.
This I agree.
Yes I’m delusional… when I agree that Destru is overtuned while just not agreeing with term broken. So if I’m delusional it means you are delusional as well. I played few games with Destru because my friend needed 3-4 wins. 90% of my games were with Boomy and that’s the comp I’ll most likely end up playing as I enjoy this comp the most. I played it most seasons and I’ll most likely play it again. I have Destru at 70 lvl but I decided not to gear it since everybody plays Destru. It would me a competition for most of the players so if everyone will play Destru then I’ll play Ele/SP and maybe a little bit of Mage.
Splitting hairs. Broken is simply a term for being extreme overtuned from my perspective! And based on mechanics, I think Observer mechanic is somewhat broken!
Sure, 50% on every damage and healing/absorption would be a good start. If needed they can go from there and buff it slightly now and then.
In my opinion overtuned means its just slightly ahead and a 5% nerf could fix it. That is not the case for destro. 5% wouldn’t change its S+++ tier state.
And personally I also think its class design is currently too much. Precog with all the different spell schools, instant casts, cc, range control and hard hitting spells is mechanically not to fix that easy. I am afraid that a few numbers here and there wont do the job.
I don’t see any rage. I even placed a smiley behind that to make sure its not a rage.
You are wrong. Overtuned like it’s name states it has number that are tuned to high. And no there is no need for 50% nerf. First of 10% is most likely enough. Also Death Pact should have it’s value a little bit lowered. I’d also extend the CD on Observer. It’s a bit too short. Then Destru is on par with most of the other specs. Chaos Bolt doesn’t need huge nerf as it always crit so you have to x1,5. 10% nerf is in fact 15%.
And what broken means is that something is mechanically broken. That is too powerful by design and cannot be fixed simply by tuning. That’s the term used in almost every game for the same purpose. Doesn’t matter if it’a LoL, Dota 2, FGC, CS:GO or whatever else you play. Destru isn’t even that far ahead as Ret, Assassination or Havoc was in Season 1. Assassination stacking Heaing reduction and Ret were broken. Just use logic and some of your brain cells that are left “broken”. What it could mean…
And regarding Observer. So far I only played Ele this season and I literally 2 shot Observer every single time. Fun fact you can outrange it and kill it while it cannot hit you. You can also los it and deal damage while not being in it’s los. In worst case you may stop casting harmful spells and cast some CC or heals depending on what you play and retreat to the other part of the arena as Observer doesn’t move. There is some counterplay where in Ret case when it dispelled all Flame Shocks, VT, Traps, Sheeps or Immolates there wasn’t. I agree it’s frustrating and probably the best way to use it is to pop it everytime enemy team pops CDs as defensive. It’s nice utility for Warlock to have something that you can use as pseudo def for your partner but then imo it should be 2 or even 3 min. CD.
Anyway I cba arguing with some random forum troll. That’s my last response to you in this topic.
I’m not trolling here. Just presented my honest opinion while you behave like mentally instable person. Oh and I don’t feel obliged to answer any of your questions. I will if I want too. If you mean that one if I play Destru or with it I already did. I’ll make you a favor and repeat it: I played few games with 1 friend to help him get wins. 90% of my games was Ele/Boomy/MW or R Druid as I mentioned and that’s most likely the comp I’m going to play this season. Destru variant of Ele/Lock is the one I enjoy least. I’m not a fotm reroller. I sometimes level up these specs to play few games on it to know what they are about. As I said I have Warlock as I wanted to have all casters for season 2 but Warlock is the one I don’t even have honor gear on. In my eyes you’re overexadurating. I really don’t see Destru being anywhere near some of season 1 specs. I expect tuning to fix Destru.
I did like 50 3s games so far on all chars combined or so and more than 80% were versus a destru. Most painful was destru + affli in my very subjective opinion, but also destru + enha or ele was just unbelievable annoying. Shaman off heals are just questionable!
Most healer seen was Disc with like 75% ratio btw.
