Hey, how would this work on early Mythic progress. Can guilds use Alliance and Horde races? Or would crossfaction Mythic Raiding even when on the same realm only open up once Crossfaction opens for Mythic? Great change <3

You won’t be forced, if I read it correctly. You will just have the ability. I don’t want to fight alongside the Horde scum either but groups are quite hard to find.

While I’m sure this is a fun announcement for some, I’d actually be a lot more excited if they were removing faction-tagging of mobs, at least outside of Warmode. It’s very annoying to have to compete with the opposite sides, especially on servers where one side dominates.

And yeah, it would be a great addition for roleplayers, if you could also see the /say and /emote channels translated for the other faction in your group.

Please allow guildes to have members from both factions.

hey nice move blizzard…

keep it up.

Name one reason it should exist in its current iteration as opposed to being the same opt-in system as this one.

And yeah, it is a literal gold sink because you’re dumping gold on an entirely optional feature to be able to use it. It’d be essentially the same deal if crossfaction groups can only be formed if every attending group member buys a 23G scroll of cooperation that only lasts for an hour.

YES!!!

I can finally give up levelling Horde.

This is objectively a big improvement to the game. I think it is really important to keep in mind that faction choice is about identity, and for some, their identity is largely tied to a race.

You can have that identity without an artificial barrier of cooperation that doesn’t even hold up well in lore.

Cross faction guilds?

You need cross-faction guilds to make this change work in my opinion, particularly when it comes to high end raiding. Guilds are the bedrock.

So let’s be clear what this will mean otherwise. You don’t put in cross-faction guilds, players will keep asking for it until you cave and put it in.

So why not just make this final step now? Why make people have to argue with you for months until you give in anyway?

Just add cross-faction guilds now and make everyone happy from the get go.

IMMERSIONNN

no one cares about ur immersion, its all in ur head so keep it there

Amazing change.

I am not saying I would not want it for free. All I’m saying is that 23g per piece is not really a gold sink. It would be imo if it was 200g a piece for example. Anyhow, lets not go too far with the elixir topic, we will probably be derailing the thread.

You can still have a version of that guild exist on the Alliance and another on the Horde, with leaders being connected on BattleTag as a workaround, and you can still use a cross-faction WoW Community to talk to members.

I suspect this might be a technical limitation and it’ll probably be fixed in future.

If it is possible to go in organized groups cross-faction which means you can raid Mythic with Alli + Horde together, how are you handling the Hall of Fame since there are 2 guilds needed?

Lets say the first 50 guilds are only hordes or maybe 1 guild is alliance, wouldnt this make getting the Hall of Fame for the alliance guilds right now harder since their slots are getting filled by the ā€œAlliance guildsā€ from top horde guilds?

no one cares about you :frowning:

i dont think so tbh… cross-faction guilds would help i agree…

but all they really need to do is make it easier for people to find communities.
