DF Fury without bladestorm

+Hit was never essential, people just didn’t have a clue what they were talking about. I remember reading a Nihilum guide saying you needed over 200 hit and then they discovered on EJ that actually you only needed 9% hit because every other stat was better.

And then they discovered the HS hit bug, which lead them to realise hit was even worse. Even before that you had guys who were like “oh yeah I just focus on Crit” because they felt like it did more dps than worrying about hit, and they were correct. Hit has never been a good stat for Fury, I was in amongst all the theorycraft discussion from as far back as 2007, you can even see my posts on Elitist Jerks.

And Titan Grip has been in the game since 2008, it’s not modern Fury. The spec has always been fast paced and it still is. Worrying about weapon realism in a game where humans defeat planet sized gods is a bit silly. It’s like being upset about logic and physics while watching Dragonball Z.

“Hit was never essential”… but you needed +9%. What happened if you didn’t have that?

You like ridicuolus fast 2x2h, while I hate it. Why do I hate it? Because I can (I could) already play (played) fast swinging rogues, shamans, frost dks, demon hunters. I don’t need more of the same.

All classes needed a basic hit cap, only Rogues actively geared for hit. Warriors aimed for soft-cap to ensure specials landed, Rogues aimed for hardcap to ensure their offhand always landed for combat potency.

Warrior was the opposite of a “hit focussed” class, you min maxed around having as little as you could in order to maximise other stats.

You needed 9%, dropped to 8% in WOTLK. But 9% in TBC (17/44/0) was 95 hit rating, that’s before improved faerie fire which provided 3%. If you played Alliance you also got 1% from Draenei. Assume you’re a Human Warrior playing the Rampage build used in 2007/2008. You’d have 3% from talents, 3% from moonkin, 1% from Draenei, leaving you needing a whopping 2% hit rating from gear, 32 hit rating.

In Classic most played 21/40/0 build for Death Wish, so they needed an additional 3% hit. So if you played 21/40/0 on Horde in TBC Classic you needed 95 hit rating, that’s 6% from gear and 3% from moonkin.

With that 95 hit requirement (Horde), how much hit do you think you’d have in any tier in TBC while only gemming for STR/CRIT? Between 150-200 is the answer, you were actively looking to drop hit, which is why many people in Classic used the Hyjal trash neck instead of the Supremus neck, or the Dory’s Embrace badge cloak instead of the Teron Gorefiend cloak, and also why many players avoided Madness of the Betrayer in favour of keeping an on-use trinket.

All to avoid the excessive hit which gave little benefit at all to dps.

Fury Warrior was fast paced long before Enhancement Shaman, long before DK’s existed. Fury Warrior was and always has been a fast paced spec, if you don’t like it then you should play another class, not expect the spec named “Fury” to be slow, it never was.

Titan’s Grip has been in the game for almost 15 years, do you realise this?

Only if we get instacast pyroblast!

Why do you think they constantly scream like teenagers who saw a girl?

They are enraged, the adrenaline is pumping through their veins, they are ready to get layed!
Adrenaline can make you do crazy things!

(Fury was super fast paced in TBC to be fair, it got slowed down in Wotlk but still way way way faster then most)

Yeah long time since I played Fury, Titan’s Toothpicks.

Ravager is way better than Skillstorm, because you can do other things while it does its thing.

It’s thing is to slowly and poorly track targets while doing very little damage tho. I think it’s been one of the most underwhelming abilities ever added, it’s always been really mediocre and lacking impact.

To be honest from a fundamental point of view I dislike any abilities that are disconnected from the character, Spear of Bastion makes even less sense. Warrior is not meant to be a magician, and Ravager really kinda falls into that catagory.

Then its design is bad. They just buff Ravage then and adjust damage. Skillstrom was clunky.

Honestly I’ve never understood why Bladestorm was CC-immune.

If you spin over a tar trap, you are going to slip and fall…
If monk leg sweeps you, you are going to get tripped and fall…

If a big magical ball off Ice hits your face, you will be dazed, sure you might remain spinning, but atleast slower…

(Editted cuz Englando was kaput)

Don’t play Spear. Play this:

Its cool and works. Who needs Bladestorm?

I’m not playing spear, not even playing Fury at the moment. You can even see my talents anyway. I’m saying I don’t like the idea of the ability existing as a Warrior ability, because it makes no sense that it’s even in the talent tree at all.

I dislike the fantasy of the spear it should be more Warriorlike without that Kyrian nonsense. But what happened to the Banners? They all Prot now or went away totally? So many specs to relearn and level up. Im liking this single handed Fury though. Nice +20% movement and lots of Raging Blows and Enrage tools.

Ppl complained it was ugly, so they deleted it.

Thats where you draw the line on realism in wow?

RIP 99% off the game if that’s where he draws the line

I like to play warrior, that’s for >15 years now. I hate to skip entire spec because they made just another rogue, dk, sham, dh… out of it.

But warriors do not stun lock like Rogues or have totems like Shamans or fly like Demons hunters etc.

Bladestorm for pvp is insanely good and the spec without it feels off.

Yeah they sure turned it into another DK/Shaman, 4 years before DK was added into the game and 2 years before Shaman could even dual wield, that is. You say you’ve played Warrior for 15 years yet you know nothing about it.

Stop saying you’ve played Warrior for all this time just because you levelled one once as an alt and did scarlet monastery in vanilla.

This is just another childish attempt to be sarcastic. I alreday said it, I dumped Fury the second it started to look and feel like rogue. It continued this way untill today. What is so hard to understand? Stop trying to sound clever, you failed big time.
