Different ways to wield the light

On my point of view, the paladins are evil!

I like to go with description of how it feel different depending of the wielder. For example, our healer in an ex-guild was going with “the fury of the Sun”, it was scorching, healing wounds felt like cauterisation, etc. I’ve seen others describe it as just comforting warmth.
On my priest, I like to generally describe it as a cold sort of light, like winter sunlight, or sunlight felt through water, etc.

I once briefly rp’d a priest archer, using arrows of pure light

Pure Light cannot exist in the physical world, but it manifests as Light magic.

Well, yes and no.

Pure Light Aka Naaru doesn’t exist that much. But magic form? I feel it’s bit, eh. I mean, yes light exists, but my opinion is that light exists form able to use it by those devoted to it.

In sort of sell your soul to get something

I like this from the angle of one who shed compassion and mercy, running on pure righteous wrath. They’re 100% convinced it’s the way to go and in this conviction lose their healing ways. Losing the greater whole just demonstrates how right they are. It’s unfathomable that they’ve actually crippled themselves.

I’d imagind the Lightforged have a much more martial, authoritarian view of the Light, too as a religious army. Far more likely to view it as a holy weapon rather than a blessed tool of the blessed few that come to it in humility.

By contrast of the human “if you think you’re worthy, you fail the test”, Lightforged conquer their own weakness and aren’t adverse to being regarded the Chosen. This conviction would make them more uncompromising.
